He isn’t a king. Neither were Clinton, Biden, or Obama. None of them are above the law, and none of them should be shielded from it because they once held the presidency.

That’s the whole point of the rule of law: it applies to everyone.

The idea that a president gets to decide whether to “do very bad things” to political opponents, as though prosecution or punishment is his personal prerogative, is exactly the kind of thinking I despise.

The presidency is an office, not a throne.

If Trump truly wanted to show respect for the presidency...he would resign. He not only would be showing great respect for that office by doing so...he would be taking a significant step toward making America great again.
 
Trump has verbally attacked them all many, many times. The horrible things he said anbout Hillary and Biden were shameful. He lowered political discourse to levels not seen in our lifetimes. Trump has no respect for anyone. Everyone on his staff is abused regularly. He has little control over his childish temper.

His first delay was when he said he would hold a press conference in 2 weeks to explain Melania's citizenship and how she got into the country. That was 10 years ago. Two weeks to Trump is equal to never.

Yup.

This is how he is coping with his and his DOJ and FBI failures to find anything they can prosecute despite desperately trying in unprecedented ways.

Trump believed if you looked deep enough and long enough at anyone under the power of the DOJ you would be able to get them for something they did in the past. He thinks that because he knows how much criminality he has in his past and just assumes all people do.

But sadly for him, no, not everyone lives lives of crime and fraud like he does.
