Proposed Debate Question

PoliTalker

Diversity Makes Greatness
For Dem candidates:

"Republicans have left us with a trillion dollar budget deficit, spending that simply does not get paid for, and instead is tacked right onto the debt. Do you have a plan to clean up this Republican budget mess by paying down the deficit before you begin to pay for any new programs you propose, such as health care reform?"

What do you want to hear asked?

Post here the questions you wish would be asked during the next debate.

and you think any of the demmycrat candidates will say "yes, I pledge to pay down the deficit before we start any new programs"?......

"Letting in immigrants from the third world results in lower wages for Americans. Will you try to reduce third world immigration, and if not, then how do you plan on keeping wages from falling? Do you also think continued mass immigration will make universal healthcare an impossibility?"

Hello StoneByStone,

"Letting in immigrants from the third world results in lower wages for Americans. Will you try to reduce third world immigration, and if not, then how do you plan on keeping wages from falling? Do you also think continued mass immigration will make universal healthcare an impossibility?"

Interesting question. I'm not sure I agree with the premise. How does letting unskilled laborers into the USA, who usually do migrant farm work, landscaping or janitorial work that Americans don't want to do, cause lower wages for a nurse or a teacher? Most well-paying jobs require training and certification that refugees do not usually have.

It pretty much just causes lower wages for manual labor.

That is the Narrative of the Conservatives. They stress that Immigrants just do Stoop Labor picking lettuce and tomatoes. Like you, they chant "work that Americans don't want to do".

Stone is an old-school leftist. Keep in mind that it was progressives and socialists who promoted nationalism in the Wilson era. They gave us the Pledge, among other things. Under FDR, we adopted a national anthem, and played it during every radio broadcast throughout the Depression and WWII.

Of course. The Dems always address the debt. The Repubs do not because cranking it up is part of their master plan to destroy the programs that help the poor and injured. The Repub deliberately crank up the debt. When Ryan was leaving he admitted it , saying it was how they would end Medicare, Medicaid, Food stamps and any programs that took money that belongs to the ruling class.

Lie. They always add to the debt, just as the republicans do. They just add more to it than the republicans do.
The Repubs do not because cranking it up is part of their master plan to destroy the programs that help the poor and injured.
The Republicans have not stopped or reduced any social security, medicaid, or medicare program.
The Repub deliberately crank up the debt.
Just as the Democrats do. They just don't crank it up as much.

The President doesn't have anything to do with the debt. Congress, and only Congress does.

and it was the correct policy for a nation that could keep Europe from going fascist.

Nationalism isn't bad -it's really no more then "America First"..it's where it get bent into
so called "American Exceptionlism" as justification for going into foreign civil wars

That is the neocon idea of Bush and Obama both with Iraq and Libya =so called interventionism

you are out of your mind........the only way a Dem has ever addressed the debt is to double it.........

I'd like to hear someone ask,

"what on earth makes you think that you can beat Trump at the polls when the economy is in full forward mode, Stock Market is at records highs, bad trade deals are being fixed, and ISIS and its threat to America has been all but wiped off the planet, and try not to laugh when you answer, Pocahontas you go first"

Teacher pay is hardly a function of the capitalist free market. When States wish to improve education one of the main ways to do that is pay teachers more and give them better benefits. This will attract a higher caliber of teachers who are more dedicated to results. The reason teacher pay is kept low is because of Republicans who don't want to raise taxes on the rich to pay for it, and Republicans who secretly do not want more smart people in our society because the smarter people are, the less likely they are to fall for a stupid hateful conman like Trump.

Over here, migrant workers have been put off by the blatant racism shown during the Brexit nonsense. The result has not been higher native wages, but crops not getting picked, and a growing crisis in the hospitals.

this ^^^ is why everyone thinks liberals have trouble focusing, every problem's answer is tax the rich, the government needs more money and all will be well, they are such good stewards of our money,

then in the next breath they point out the 23 trillion dollar deficit

If we didn't have to co-exist with you derelicts I swear we could be a near perfect society

Hello Penderyn,

It's just amazing. We have these rich oligarchs holding so much power, making most crucial decisions, and yet the uneducated and uninformed blame powerless migrants for the problems of society. Remarkable phenomenon. Masterful blame-shifting on the part of big money PR. Very effective.

I expect that you already know this, Snowflake, but illegals are doing skilled labor now, sheet rock, flooring and carpentry. They do it for less than the going wage for those skills.

It is illegal to come to this country without proper documentation and work...or tie your shoes.

You do believe in the law?
