Mr. Braxton called the Alabama Conference of Black Mayors, which told him how and where to file the necessary qualifying paperwork, he said in his lawsuit. He followed their instructions, and
because no one else—including Mr. Stokes—filed the paperwork to qualify for the office, Mr. Braxton became Newbern’s first mayor on July 22, 2020.

No one voted because Mr Braxton was the only candidate to submit the proper paperwork.

He therefore ran UNOPPOSED and was simply declared mayor. Unopposed candidates run for office all the time in this country.

Braxton ran unopposed and won, so the racist town council members then held a closed meeting to appoint their own mayor - another WHITE man.

Except he wasn't declared mayor was he?

Mayor's in Newberg are apparently appointed regardless of filing paperwork or not.

sometimes the elections are complete shams, like in Reedy Creek where Disney simply picks the eventual winner

and in those sham elections, I argued with plenty of shit stain liberals such as yourself who claimed that system is totally fine

Nobody voted for him because there was no election.

There was no race to even run in.

Whether their rules are legal or not I have no clue but they've always appointed mayors and council members.
