Raise your hand if you saw this coming

When I saw the thread title, I was sure this was going to be about Trump's Presidency ending in chaos, and with him wallowing in self-pity about losing and whimpering about "massive voter fraud."

How long have I been saying lockdowns caused more harm than good?

Bob is such a brainless prick.

Indeed. You can always tell someone who's not very bright and seethes with envy of others who are when they put down education. Sad but not surprising, given the fact that the tard worships the world's most ignorant willful idiot, #LOSER45.

BTW, you are right about languages and learning them, and how poorly many Americans speak and/or write English. Yet they're proud of that.

why am i not surprised a total trump stooge thinks education is a waste of time?

ok tell me the practical use of Ancient Indian languages

Language informs the culture of a people, and is part of their history. BTW, Ojibwe is still spoken in the northern U.S. and well across central Canada as well. Preserving the language and culture of any group of humans is a worthy goal. Currently dozens of indigenous nations are working to preserve what they can of their lost languages, spirituality, arts, and other culture.

It's obvious that you have little to no education yourself, or you wouldn't exhibit such disdain for knowledge. Music isn't "practical," and neither is art, or cinema, or sports, or theater -- yet civilized nations spend billions on these aspects of our culture.

depending on the subject and who pays for it , education can also be a complete wast of time and money .
in her case Im sure she didn't pay for it all and there is little to any practical use for it, but it sure sounds like a big important thing. I'm guessing basket weaving would be more useful.
but its nice to see you sucking each others dicks and slapping each other on the backs like true progressive democrats congratulation each other on a waste of time and effort that has little to no practical use in the world

What does it matter if she's learning astrophysics or neurochemistry or how to change a car tire or how to drink through a straw? Education is development. It makes people better. You sound jealous and butt hurt because someone else has the motivation, the wherewithal, and the means to explore a subject.

As you continue to further demonstrate, you could desperately use a course in any language. Your posts are barely readable.

Really. Just look at his sentence structure, shitty use of punctuation, and inability to articulate in a coherent manner and you'll see the epitome of both a typical #LOSER45 cultist, and the "Ugly American."

There is no education that is a waste of time, that’s a proclamation by an uneducated oaf like yourself.

Amen. Most people who say liberals stole the universities and that education is pointless dropped out by sometime in high school. Some of them just want to degrade the value of postsecondary education because they couldn't afford it or they started having babies when they were young or they don't understand the correlation between higher education and social liberalism. Trying to explain to someone like Bob the value of an education is like trying to teach a ferret how to fly an airplane.

besides that, his mom dresses him funny.

Trump is out of office and Cuomo decides its time to lighten up on COVID restrictions. Lori Lightfoot decides its time for Chicago restaurants to be allowed to open up as though they lived and operated in a free country.

And finally, it is decided in a peer reviewed study that the lockdown critics were right after all and that lockdowns and quarantines were an instance of the cure being worse than the disease.

Oh and this, on the heels of two COVID vaccines being released *a week* within Biden [perhaps] winning the election.

Raise your hand if you’re surprised by none of this.

What are you talking about? The vaccines came when they are ready. Biden is not in office and your right-wing conspiracy brain is cranking away. The vaccine companies are profit-oriented and want to sell all the vaccines they can. Raise your paw if the posters ignorance surprises you.

What the fuck does Cuomo have to do with what restaurants are deciding to do in CHICAGO?

My God this is a stupid thread!

I am one of fewer than 10,000 living humans who can speak Hawaiian. It's not terribly practical in the sense that I use it every day, but it was important for me to do what little I can to preserve a culture that was wantonly decimated by American imperialists. Moreso, Hawaiian has taught me how to conceptualize and verbalize certain emotions and actions better than I could do without knowing it. The French, I think, are the best at assigning a word to almost every aspect of the human condition. You have lost this argument so hard, Bob.

Many Americans have told me that Americans speak American and Mexicans speak Mexican. There's no good way to deal with an adult who has those thoughts.

So true. How did "culture" and "education" become dirty words among right-leaning trailer park trash? I do agree that it seems to be a function of envy.

People were stupid before mobile devices, but it's only gotten worse. I get emails every day that resemble text messages that don't in any way reflect standard language construction. Sometimes I respond with a paragraph that an 18th-century philosopher wrote. Their heads explode.

Because the Left has taken a leading position in defining both in America, and like everything else they touch, they've turned it to shit.

That is very impressive. Hawaiian is such a beautiful language. One of my language profs showed a video in class of a group in Hawaii working to restore and reclaim it, as well as teaching it to elementary school age children. If I can find it again I'll post it to you in a PM.

Imagine a language where the neuter "it" is not used when talking about a tree, a cliff, a heavenly body, an animal, an insect. This language has few personal slurs like English does, because its speakers don't need them. The words for cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. change according to the relationship of the speaker to the one spoken of. In other words, the word for the sister of my mother (just "aunt" in English) is different than the word for the sister of my father (also aunt). This is Ojibwe.
