"Ranked: The Best And Worst State Economies"

That's odd. The top ten are overwhelmingly liberal or Democratic.
And the bottom ten are overwhelmingly conservative and Republican.
(I think the Red States lead in addiction to online porn, though)

Who could have ever predicted?

So the rich elite libs ... hate the poor.

Not exactly ... breaking news.
:palm:

It's shocking, NOT, that Desh says she lives in California but has no clue that counting migration within the U.S. California has more people leaving than coming. That's just a fact.

What’s disengenuous about your point is you’re not identify whom is immigrating and who is emigrating.

You’re argument might have some validity if it wasn’t for the fact that these conservative regions have both been conservative and poor for most of the time our nation has existed.

The primary difference is that the egalitarian nature of the blue states creates a more dynamic opportunity with better utilization of Human Resources, more competition, greater educational attainment, greater entrepreneurship, greater investment in infrastructure (you know? That damned socialism?). It is in these egalitarian values, culture and history where the difference lies.

The conservative social and economic traditions of the red States has trapped these regions in a vicious cycle of poverty and ignorance where they lack the competitiveness and dynamic social and economic nature of the blue regions.

To put it more bluntly for over several hundred years the elite property owning political class in the red regions have promoted racial and social resentments to justify their exploitation and domination of economic resources. This short sightedness to protect their economic privelage with its lack of investment in Human Resources and public infrastructure has created a poverty trap that has existed for over 200 years.

Egalitarian liberals? ... you mean the white States. :palm:

Then show us, don't tell us to search on our own, show us to support your claim

CA is ranked #2 even though it's economic health is 26
Mass is ranked #4 even though its health is 29
MD is ranked #9 even though it's activity is 18 and it's health is 28
Michigan???? fucking seriously???????
virginia is 13 with a innovation potential of 23
and DC???????

again, this list is horseshit.

Interesting how he gives us all the information except for the name of the State, now why do you suppose that is?

Interesting how your too fucking stupid, boy, to figure it out with all the information provided. I know why you can't. You're like those living in that blue area in it. Too stupid to learn and too lazy to try.

Dam, and all this time I was thinking you were stupid. After reading your comment I find you are smart.

North Carolina is purple but it's still relatively red. Same with Florida. Same with Georgia. Texas is still red. Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Austin. Those are among the fastest growing cities.

True. Why? Largely immigrantion from more competitive liberal regions. In the process the social nature of these regions are also changing. Most Southern conservatives would howl to hear this but the Civil Rights movement is the best thing that ever happened to the region as it has forced egalitarian values on the region.

It is still though the poorest region of the nation.

Define red and blue states? Are you going by the electoral vote, or by who's in charge? Also, many red states have cities with large populations that are blue. You cannot judge on the state level. You need to look at individual cities to get a clear picture of what's going on. BTW, the top ten worst cities in America, financially, are run by democrats. Yep. That's right. The top ten shit holes are run by liberal scum bags. Not a single one of them is red.

Talk about bias. It’s also true that the large majority of cities are blue and all the top 10 cities are blue and that even those shit holes are substantial economic engines. It’s also true that most public infrastructure that you rural conservatives enjoy is paid for by us shithole dwelling urban liberal scumbag taxpayers.

Bro, you are going off on some crazy tangent here. And you are acting like the states have been the same "blue" or "red" for 200 years. We're talking about the movement of people today.

I've always spoken the truth about California. We have the most wealth in the country and we have the highest poverty rate. Within the U.S. we are losing population. However we are growing as a state because of births and immigrants. We are losing working class people and they are being replaced by better educated higher earners and (low income) immigrants.

Yup...so what's your point?

My point is that states haven't been blue or red for 200 years and we're discussing where people are moving today.
Well your simply wrong there. The largely conservative states 100 to 200 years ago are still largely conservative today and the liberal and bellweather States 100 to 200 years ago are still largely liberal and moderate. Don't believe me? Go look at a Blue and Red (Grey) map from 1861.

And as has been pointed out to you the demographics of who is moving where is also important. I mean I looked at the map. It's was silly. It had Ohio ranked 37th. Never mind the fact that we're one of the smaller States Geographically but have a population >11 million and we're #7th State in the nation in GDP. Pretty impressive considering were about 1/5th size of Cali and 1/4th the size of Texas i area. We also have the same problem as Cali has for longer than Cali with mainly blue collar workers immigrating to where there are blue collar jobs. We're not losing the best and the brightest and the most productive. Were not growing much either. That's true in California too.
