Registered Republican for 46 years changes party.

If you took every dollar from the top 1% it would not pay fo Medicare for all.

link?

Oh and BTW

Americans pay money for healthcare every month if they have it

If they don't have the money they have NO HEALTHCARE

so you can take money from everyone to pay for the care

AND EVERYONE IS PAYING LESS FOR BETTER CARE

“Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), a co-chair of the Medicare for All Caucus, released a bill today that would adopt a single-payer system, where the federal government replaces private health insurance companies as the sole provider of most health care financing. While we are not aware of any estimates of this particular proposal, similar proposals have been estimated to cost the federal government roughly $28-32 trillion over a decade.”
Committee For A Responsible Budget.

It would also take private insurance policies from 195 million people.

If your employers decides not to offer you healthy care anymore they can ANY MOMENT THEY CHOOSE TO

under a universal plan you pay less in taxes for it than ANY for profit insurance on the market

who has the best healthcare in the nation?

TRICARE

every idea the republican party has championed in my lifetime was NOT in the interest of the people

I just cant understand what their has been to LIKE about the party

there was no reason to like it before trump; it was a bunch of internationalist fascist war mongers like hillary.

trump has rejected the suicidal trade agreements and banker wars the globalists espouse, and hence, will be reelected.

Lifelong stalwart conservative George Will said people should vote for the Democratic Party to get rid of Trumpf

That's what the person in theOP is doing . He even states his registration as a Dem is temporary
I registered as a republican or a dim before only so I could vote in their respective primaries.
E.g., if I were still living in Alaska when Lisa Murkowski runs I'd definitely register as a republican so I could vote for her opponent.

I can relate although I registered as independent rather than Democrat. But this guy thinks a lot like me.

After 46 years as a registered Republican, today I changed my party. This is a big deal for me and the primary reason is to allow me to vote in the Democratic primary. I wish to have a voice in the process of deciding who will take on our current abhorrent and corrupt President. The Republican party of smaller government, charity, separation of church and state, balanced budgets, no deficits and reduced debt has been obliterated by Trump and there does not seem to be any will to return to the party of Lincoln. So if I must vote Democrat to have a voice, I will do so. I will assuredly change to Independent after the primaries unless I am substantially changed by the Democratic party in the next few months. In theory, many of the policies being put forth by many Democrats seem attractive and vote worthy, however I have yet to see one plan which is either deficit neutral or supported by all Americans. I have grave concerns about programs like Medicare for All and Free College for All, etc. I am concerned that, a too progressive Democratic platform or a too progressive candidate will allow Trump a lane to plow through or if too Progressive a candidate wins the White house, I will have the same awful feeling about the new President.
We in the middle 10% decide elections and although I have registered as a Democrat to vote in the primary, I am not overly excited by any front runner on the Democratic side but know we must get rid of Trump.

Bye Felicia!!:bleh:

nice to see this, but I have a couple issues with this guy's thinking:

1. there does not seem to be any will to return to the party of Lincoln. ~ the modern GOP is NOT the party of Lincoln, the two parties exchanged ideologies around the turn of the 20th century starting with TR I believe it was

2. The Republican party the separation of church and state ~ as far as I know the Republican party has always conflated 'Judeo-Christian' principles with government, and implied Democrats are ungodly socialists

the base doesn't believe those things anymore

they believe whatever trump says

there is no party without trump now

they hate the Bushes and never speak of what used to be their god Reagan

its the reTRUMPagain party

the Republican party is DEAD

Trump stole the brain dead part of the republican base

the ones the republican party could fool and lead around by the nose

even if trump leaves or goes down they will NEVER be able to reconstitute the old republican party

it will be a tiny con party

OR

a racist heaven party

Trump broke it

it will NEVER come back
