The NON-STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) departments of the majority of American colleges and universities, teach shit-loads of it every day, Nordberg.
For example the teach various types of Critical Theory classes. Critical Theory is neo - Marxist school of thought that, as the name suggests, had its origins in orthodox Marxism, which began with Karl Marx's political, sociological, economic, sociological theories of Communism. Technically speaking Communism is not identical to Socialism, but the fundamental tenets of both are pretty much the same. Right ? They are closely-related collectivist, egalitarian world-views wherein the people own and control the means of production and there is an equitable distribution of resources/sercices (like health-care among all of the different groups in society; where there is equal justice for all and so on.
So when I say neo-Marxist that's basically the same as neo- Socialist. But I'll use the term neo-Marxist because that's they term that is currently used.
Now there's one more thing I need to tell you. The Socialism that is taught in colleges and universities in America is actually neo-Marxist - Postmodernim. Postmodernism is a Marxist-based philosophy that got came into the mainstream of academic culture around the 1980's. By the 1990's it got blended with with neo-Marxism and that is why I put the hyphen between the two to describe what the theoretical basis of teaching and learning is TODAY in the non-STEM departments of the vast majorty of university/college departs is: NEO-MARXIST-POSTMODERNISM.
So we are going to say that the modern day "SOCIALISM" you referred to is now called "NEO-MARXIST-POSTMODERNISM."
Here are some of the many classes that are taught in American colleges and Universties that are vehicles for indoctrination in "SOCIALISM" today...
