Russia Scandal: Did Hillary Clinton Seed FBI's Trump Investigation?

This was all laid out in great detail, and more, in a timeline of events, by Dan Bongino. I posted a link to the podcast days ago. Very few, even so called conservatives, seemed interested. Bongino exposed the Downer link to Papadopolous weeks ago.
exactly so.. I wish somebody like Sarah Carter would do a timeline. She's an investigative reporter -and that's not what she does- but fake news (CNN) is too busy dumpster diving in St. Petersburg.

WAPO and NYTimes have no desire to investigate and analyze anything that is not anti-Trump.

I do think that guy Greg Garret (sp?) is coming out with a book - but a simple timeline would do wonders for those who only get fragmented info

Bongino is releasing an ebook about Obamagate soon.

at minimum it was a slush fund to pay for worldwide travel.
But it's never really been audited..we did see some pay for play

The OP is about the various ties to Clinton campaign and the genesis of the Russian probes

Why would the Clintons, with a combined net worth of over $125 million, feel the need to go through all the effort and risk involved in setting up some illegal "slush fund" for the purpose of travelling for free???

Especially when they are constantly being invited to speak at conferences and various other gatherings around the world, with the tabs for all travel and accommodation expenses being picked up by the host organizations anyway???

Do you actually even think about this crap before you spout it, or does your supervisor there at the Russian troll farm tell you what to post???

Here's a link to Bongino's timeline, it's quite comprehensive. About an hour long, less if you fast-forward through the commercials.

Do I have this correct, the current Mueller investigation is now all Hillary's fault? The Special Council appointed by the Trump appointed Justice Departmemt is all Hillary's doing? Am I missing something here?

Well, it’s a fact the Dossier was financed by Clinton and the DNC.

So it’s hardly a stretch. And if Comey hadn’t leaked with the intent to have his BFF Mueller appointed to investigate his boss who just fired him, there would be no SP.

Notice any stench yet?

So somebody please explain to me why it matters if the information came from Hillary Clinton’s opposition research?

Since it’s intended to inflict maximal damage on a political opponent there’s the risk of ‘embellishment’, for lack of a better word lol?

That wasn’t one of your better questions.

Steele’s interest in Trump did not spring from his work for the Clinton campaign. He ran across Trump’s name almost as soon as he went into private business, many years before the 2016 election. Two of his earliest cases at Orbis involved investigating international crime rings whose leaders, coincidentally, were based in New York’s Trump Tower.

snip

Even before Steele became involved in the U.S. Presidential campaign, he was convinced that the Kremlin was interfering in Western elections. In April of 2016, not long before he took on the Fusion assignment, he finished a secret investigation, which he called Project Charlemagne, for a private client. It involved a survey of Russian interference in the politics of four members of the European Union—France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Germany—along with Turkey, a candidate for membership. The report chronicles persistent, aggressive political interference by the Kremlin: social-media warfare aimed at inflaming fear and prejudice, and “opaque financial support” given to favored politicians in the form of bank loans, gifts, and other kinds of support. The report discusses the Kremlin’s entanglement with the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and the French right-wing leader Marine Le Pen. (Le Pen and Berlusconi deny having had such ties.) It also suggests that Russian aid was likely given to lesser-known right-wing nationalists in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.

The Kremlin’s long-term aim, the report concludes, was to boost extremist groups and politicians at the expense of Europe’s liberal democracies. The more immediate goal was to “destroy” the E.U., in order to end the punishing economic sanctions that the E.U. and the U.S. had imposed on Russia after its 2014 political and military interference in Ukraine.

Steele dossier itself is a creation of the DNC

Not quite. Fusion id not throw away all the info that the Repubs paid for. It went from that point on, but it is both. Yeah Steele came on after.;. But it is the Fusion dossier helped by Steele.

look at this junk-defending the Steel dossier as "not refuted"

The California senator Dianne Feinstein, the ranking minority member on the committee, declared that the Republicans’ goals were “undermining the F.B.I. and Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation” and “deflecting attention” from it. Feinstein said that the criminal referral provided no evidence that Steele had lied, and, she added, “not a single revelation in the Steele dossier has been refuted.”

Sheldon Whitehouse, a Democratic senator from Rhode Island, is a former prosecutor who also serves on the Judiciary Committee. “To impeach Steele’s dossier is to impeach Mueller’s investigation,” he told me. “It’s to recast the focus back on Hillary.” The Republicans’ aim, he believed, was to “create a false narrative saying this is all a political witch hunt.”

Indeed, on January 18th, the staff of Devin Nunes, the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, produced a report purporting to show that the real conspiracy revolved around Hillary Clinton. “The truth,” Nunes said, is that Clinton “colluded with the Russians to get dirt on Trump, to feed it to the F.B.I. to open up an investigation into the other campaign.”
but we now know Nunes is correct.

Is that what you think?
why would I write otherwise?
Putin is Putin. He's a Russian nationalist who sees himself as a modern Peter the Great.
He's former KGB, and headed the FSU..he was desperatly needed by Russia after the drunken Yelsin, and impotent Gorbachev regime.

I take him at face value. I admire some of his gambits, but his arrogance cost him Russian sanctions.

What I really want is an END TO THIS RUSSIAPHOBIA -and get back on track with a realpolitik relationship-
that benefits US/EUROPE/the WEST all

Oh, you mean like the bullshit "Hillary's email/homebrew server" nonsense that was intended to "inflict maximal damage on a political opponent", hence "there’s the risk of ‘embellishment’, for lack of a better word lol"?

Like that?

That wasn’t one of your better answers, hypocrite.

but we now know Nunes is correct.

Nunes is trying to do damage control, but ALL the evidence points to the FBI watching Carter page, Manafort, Cyprus Bank and money laundering thru Trump Tower before Trump ever announced his run.

Downer is the person who actually started the ball rolling in creating the anti-Trump dossier. And, it turns out, he's a Clintonite.

Downer sat down for a pint or two in a London pub with former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos back in 2016. Papadopoulos claimed to Downer that the Russians had some nasty information on Hillary Clinton.

Downer subsequently told the FBI.

You didn't answer my post (message#9) anatta. I guess you overlooked it. :)

Here it is again:

>> Downer told the FBI nothing. He told his government what he had heard from Papadopoulos. Later, when hacked DNC emails started to be leaked, the Australian government informed the US authorities.

The article in the OP also completely ignores this:

"British spies were first to spot Trump team's links with Russia:
GCHQ is said to have alerted US agencies after becoming aware of contacts in 2015"
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...m-links-russia

GCHQ, the British signals intel agency, has been called the “principal whistleblower” in all this. <<

The upshot is, the article you quoted in the OP is carefully-crafted garbage.
