Reason USS Abraham Lincoln Hasn't Been Resupplied: Because Iran Blew Up The Resupply Base​

Despite five-time draft deferment recipient and current U.S. President Donald Trump's assertion that the Iran war would be over "pretty quickly" five months ago in March, his senseless war still persists. While Trump has been amassing obscene amounts of wealth via crypto-related business and other crooked means, hard-working and dedicated U.S. soldiers have borne the brunt of the war that he and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu started in late February. We covered the miserable conditions that sailors and Marines on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) have been enduring for a record-setting 250 days at sea last week, and now we know what's causing those conditions: Iran bombed the main U.S. resupply base in the Gulf of Oman.

MS NOW's senior national security reporter David Rhode said that the Lincoln wasn't able to be resupplied because the base was destroyed by Iranian strikes, and that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth chose not to make the news public despite having several opportunities to do so.:whoa:

That's only part of it.....also the NAVY has removed much of its ship resupply assets to save money and also lack of interest in the project.....the NAVY could have figured out ways to get it done....they chose to not.

You can imagine how this goes over with the crews....and then there is their superiors lying about the situation.

Not even a joke. In the Air Force, you live in dormitories, not barracks, and if that dormitory does not have carpeting, you get hardship pay.

By definition, if something is record breaking, it has not occurred before... That is the opposite of occurring "quite frequently."

The proposal to have sailors working 90 hours weeks for two years without any breaks will break people. They tried similar ideas during WWI, and it failed badly. No one in their right mind has tried that since.

During Vietnam, the aircraft carriers were just over the horizon from the Philippines. They easily let crew members off for leave, and to return home at the end of their enlistment. Supplies mostly came aboard easily.

This is different. They are talking about leaving people on ships for two years without seeing shore.
 
The president, who never served, says they have not been out long enough.

Yea, I had a crew of sailors doing electrical work on an Air Force base at one point. One of the Air Force E-nothings was whining about having the "duty" for one day (during that month). His "duty watch" was keeping a cell phone issued to him on him and being ready to come into his work location from his apartment off base if called.

The sailors found that hilarious. They were endlessly razzing him about his so-called hard duty. The guy couldn't believe that the sailors expected three or four section watch rotations every day at sea with something like 4 on 8 or 12 off continuously.

The point is that he would say such a horrible thing. He also denied that they were not getting help.
Trump just says he wants to be true and his followers suck it all in.

You think this is the longest deployment a Carrier has seen? Wrong again Walt. And 90 hours of work on a ship a week is nothing new. At all. That is almost liberty.

My guys tell me that the NAVY has in recent years eliminated all ship at sea reloading of arms, and has cut the force of oilers and the ships that resupply food and the like by half to save money.....that "We can do more with less" nonsense. When Iran destroyed the 5th fleet base.....which apparently no one ever expected would ever happen.....the NAVY was not able or not willing to adjust. How much of this disaster was cant and how much was wont I dont know....but Hegseth and Trump both make it sound like there was a lot of not giving a fuck involved.
