The nomination is there for trump if he wants it... And if he is alive and not in prison. Given his age, and extremely poor overall health, it is hard to predict if he will still be alive.

Hard to say where this will go. Then again, anyone can die over the next three years, not just the old, and unhealthy.

No, this isn't a bothsides thing.

This is one side doing everything it can to undermine public trust in public institutions like education with the intention of violently overthrowing the US government and installing a dictator.

Whether it's enough to get the nomination depends upon who else is running and what happens between now and November 2024. I expect a lot of investigations to be completed followed by arrests and trials. That'll alter the course of RW politics.

You're oversimplifying the problems. Those are two completely different things albeit both are evidence of the politicization of science and education.

The problem goes to a severe lack of core values like honor, integrity and trust. All our major party leaders care about are power and money.

No doubt you can come up with dozens of various lists of "core values". The key, IMO, is to look at the similarities between most of them then compare that list to both the Democrats and the Republicans. 1000 Internet points says that you will find a lot of fault in "both sides".

No, bothsiderism oversimplifies the problems, and it does that by boiling everything down into two diametrically-opposed forces so that you can wrap your very limited mind around broader concepts.

We do not have an authoritarian or fascist problem from the left, but we certainly do have that problem from the right, which was made glaringly obvious to us on 1/6.

The problem is that monied interests prevent pluralistic democracy because the natural progression for a pluralistic democracy is the seizing of some of the means of production by the people who have been exploited.

No one can change your mind unless you want to change. You are free to stick with the idea that all the evil in the world is made by Republicans and only until they are all dead will there be peace in the world.

While there's certainly an imbalance of fault between the two parties, anyone who studies US politics post-Cold War will see failures of leadership and partisanship all around. You know, just like you are displaying now.
