Senate prepares for showdown over filibuster

13, actually. And that was with Trump on the ticket rising all GOP boats, and the Demos still retained control.

How'd that GOP do in 2018 without Trump on the ticket?
in 2018 the Dems picked up ten seats in the House by running blue dog candidates in purple districts.......most of those lost in 2020.......in 2018 the Republicans picked up four seats in the Senate and the Demmycrats picked up two......

we added seats in the House in 2020 and saved more seats than the Demmycrats thought they would in the Senate...if you hadn't cheated in Georgia in 2020 you wouldn't control the Senate....

You added 14 seats in the House, but lost 3 seats and majority control in the Senate.

And you lost the Senate on two runoff elections that Democrats swept in a red state, with no Trump on the ballot, and no Trump help.

like I said......wouldn't have happened if you hadn't cheated.......you won't hold them......

If you have a reason to object to legislation, then state it. If you want to prevent the elected majority party from legislating, you should not have power to destroy the Senate.

You would have squealed like a stuck pig if the Republicans had ended the filibuster and rammed home their agenda with a simple majority when they controlled both houses of congress during Trump's presidency.

How does stopping the passage of a bill "destroy the senate"?

States vote for Senators. The end. Constitution says nothing about the filibuster--because it is not democratic.
