Serious question here: If Floyd died from neck compression as claimed.....

....why was he able move and reposition his head and neck at various points?

I know this video only shows about one minute of an incident that lasted eight or nine minutes, but look closely at Chauvin's knee. He keeps relaxing or adjusting his weight, allowing Floyd to move his head around a little bit.

Most noticeably around the :37 point....

You can see Floyd reposition his head and Chauvin's knee seems moves a little to accommodate him as well.

So if Chauvin was intent on using lethal or brutal force on Floyd, why would he allow even the slightest movement of the head and neck?

Even by the sort of casual looking way Chavin seems to be crouched, it doesn't really look like he's bearing down on Floyd with all of his weight. One knee looks to be on the pavement behind Floyd, supporting most of his weight, the other is on the back of Floyd's head and neck and appears to just be attempting to hold him still.

All I am suggesting here, before some of you start screaming RACIST!!!!! at me, is that there are too many unanswered questions to be condemning Chauvin for at this stage.

If, when the autopsy report is released, it affirms that Floyd died as the result of a crushed windpipe or asphyxiation due to excessive weight on his neck or back etc, then I will join the choir in calling for his conviction.

But until then, I am going to remain open to all possibilities.

See his toe of the non knee on neck foot? he's up off his knee, applying all the pressure he can to his neck, thusly murdering him.

He's a bad cop and should be in gen pop in prison.

Cops put knees on backs and near back neck all the time. The person rarely dies. Autopsy said it was from a preexisting condition.

Yet we have leftist mob rule in this country that doesn't care about pesky facts. They want blacks to be unarrestable for any crime.

Not when they are cuffed for 8.5 mins.

No they don't unless they are trying to murder him.

he's trying to murder the guy.

he's moving his knee around trying to find the carotid artery to make him pass out, he did, then didn't let up, thusly murdering him.

There were two other cops kneeling on him at the same time. One compressing his lungs and internal organs, and the other on his legs. Try it sometime, and see how it feels.

incorrect the other bad cops were holding his legs, they were not actively murdering him but stood around while chauvin murdered him.

They need to be charged as well, but lets be accurate.

But the narrative is that the wind pipe was compressed.
A knee is a poor choice to compress the artery, too blunt.

no, the narrative is he was strangled, that includes both or either a blood or a wind choke.

HOw do you know the knee is a poor choice?

There's no proof of your claims. But you knew that.

Cept for the video and my expertise, no, you are correct, other than what you can see before your eyes and what I can explain to you, there is SIMPLY "no evidence"... /facepalm

The video doesn't show him "trying to find an artery." You wouldn't be able to prove that in a court of law. We don't know the officers mindset.

Do you see the way he is rolling his knee around? he's searching for the sweet spot, he's tried and succeeded to render him unconsious at that point it was imperative to get the blood flowing back to his brain. instead he sat there for at least 5 mins longer, then you see his other knee come off the pavenment by the angle of his foot to increase not decrease the pressure on his neck.

Or he was just moving around to gain a better position to hold him down. Again, impossible to prove.

Just like saying this was racially motivated. Unless you can prove the officer is a Nazi, or has a black hating past, there is ZERO proof this was a racial incident.

Not good enough. You have to show what the action was, that it was carried out without cause, and that the action was intentional.

Floyd was being arrested for robbery. He then chose to resist arrest. There was cause to restrain him.
Floyd was talking the whole time. Since death was not by suffocation, you can't use that as the action that killed him.

It seems you have no grasp of any facts.
Floyd wasn't being arrested for robbery.
The various videos show him to not be resisting arrest. He was in handcuffs and was actually in the police car before they pulled him out again.
The back doors on a squad car do not open from the inside. He was placed in the car on the drivers side. He was pulled out of the passenger side which means the officers opened the door to pull him out when he was already in the car.
Floyd was saying he couldn't breath yet the officers didn't do anything to help him.
Bystanders informed the police he was no longer moving minutes before they got off him so they can't say the weren't aware of his medical issues.
Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd's neck for over a minute after the paramedics arrived.
We haven't yet seen the officers body cam videos but prosecutors have and they felt there was enough there to charge Chauvin this early in the investigation. The County Attorney stated it normally takes 4-6 months to reach the point of charging someone with this crime. That means the evidence is pretty overwhelming to charge this early.

The 3rd degree murder charge is for depraved indifference causing the death. The fact that they held him down when he asked for medical assistance and after they were informed he was not moving is clear evidence of that depraved indifference. They can hardly argue they feared for their lives. Whether Floyd would have died if they had let him up 4 minutes earlier we will never know but their failure to help him is pretty damning even if he died from a heart attack.

Nonsense, you can see by him lifting the other knee he was attempting to apply even more pressure on an handcuffed and restrained suspect who committed a non-violent crime.

I do know, the guy wasn't trying to get up, I know what he was doing with his knee, intimately.

Sure... because when the person three people are holding down is unconscious you need a better position to hold him down.

I guess he could always argue gravity had stopped working and they were afraid he was going to float away.:palm:

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
