You are the one who doesn't seem to grasp the real reason why people are fleeing these high tax, high crime socialist run cities. The high crime and high taxed blue cities is the political reason of the dems that has these sane people fleeing. It is becoming an apocalyptic like scenario where the once great and thriving NYC as it once was when Trump and Giuliani reigned there is all but being shattered.

Of course they're also leaving for cheaper housing and different jobs that aren't getting taxed into oblivion. And AOC and bernie sanders keep shouting from the rooftops that the rich aren't paying their fair share, when in fact its the rich that pays some 90% of the taxes, and its also the rich business owners who are also fleeing because their businesses are losing business due to highly taxed people no longer able to buy items from those businesses. Making matters worse is that NYC now has a dem socialist as mayor.
