Invoking natural law, Nature's God, and an intentionally ambiguous Creator is a consciously Deist choice for framing our our nation's declaration of independence.

If you are going to have to continue to rely on me teaching you college level history, I am going to have to start charging you tuition.

"Nature's God" was clearly the God of deism in all important ways. That Jefferson included [Nature's] God in the "Declaration of Independence" is very significant because it helped lay the foundation for a civil religion in America.

Without supporting revealed religion, Jefferson subscribed to the moral teachings of Jesus....Jefferson's God was the source of moral values..... God made man "with a sense of right and wrong."
