I think 12% is the number most often given, and there is no slack because of all the money governments have pumped into the global economy shipping has been running at near capacity...all of these ships sitting around doing nothing is going to have massive downstream consequences.

Should have prefaced that with shipping container volume. It will cause prices to go up some for sure. Even if they round the horn, time is money. Costs go up.

And there was already a critical shortage of containers, this if it goes weeks will make that much worse. Remember that NIKE recently said that they lost over 10% of the revenue they could have had last quarter because of lack of containers, lack of ship space, and because the Southern Cal ports now routinely have a backlog of over fifty ships sitting off shore waiting for port space.
