Ted Nugent proves a shotgun is deadlier than an AR-15

R6 #39

Thanks.
I would like to believe it has some utility. Who needs a gun nobody needs?

But I hunt small game with my .22 LR
The ammo is dirt cheap.

For some more heft, I bump it up to the mag., a .22 WMR, though I can drop a porcupine with either.

Here's the difference:

If Nugent wants to prove how lethal his shotgun is, he should put the end of the barrel in his mouth and let it do it's job.

I am saying you're a coward who mouths off on the internet, but shits himself when somebody like Bourbon calls his bluff.

By the standard you use, you should be wiping constantly from the time you've shit yourself after having been called out.

You're full of shit, typical internet tough guy. Keep your penis extenders, you were called out and showed your true colours.

Says the one that was called out to try and take what he said I shouldn't have but shit on himself instead.

Oh, I know the difference, the .22WMR? Never had one but I've shot them. I hunted with my .Remmington Targetmaster .22 and a S&W K-.22, They were sufficient for what I hunted with them.
.22 ammo was quite difficult to obtain a while back, remember? I had plenty and still do.
I used to hunt duck and geese, too. Used a Ithica Model 51 and a Remmington Model 1100 3" Mag, both in 12 gauge. Plenty effective as well.
I've been into the black powder lately. My last firearm purchase was a Uberti 1858 New Army in SS finish. I have a few others and two nice flintlocks, too.
The Uberti shoots pretty good, but I wouldn't use it for deer (as a side arm), unless they were within 20 yd. I have a Ruger Blackhawk >45 ACP/.45LC for that.
But yeah, I sold a few of my firearms, still have a few I should shoot more, but reloading supplies have gone up so much over the years it's become quite expensive.
That, and the fact you can only shoot one at a time.

Even now that 22lr is widely available again, it is not exactly what I would call "dirt cheap", like it used to be.

Yeah. I remember back when a brick cost around $6-$7 bucks. We'd shoot all day down in the train yards and rats in the dump. Fun times.

Yeah. 3 or 4 decades ago I bought 1000 rnd of CCI .22 LR Stinger Hyper Velocity. I paid less than $50.oo for it.
I've probably got 800 rnd left. Obviously I don't do a lot of shooting.
I haven't bought much ammo in the new millennium. But if you know where I can get 100 rnd of .45 ACP shot-shells, they're not available here.

Thanks.
Good to know.
I assume whatever I have left will out-last me.

What a shitty musician. He's right up their with David Lee Roth. Yeah cock rock! :palm:

Strap on a loin cloth and dance in front of little white boys and stfu about politics.

Stands to reason he is a dumbass redneck. Unread

You can reload them.

I have hundreds of .45ACP's loaded for my Ruger, and as many or more for the K-38, all with cast bullets.
Lately, I've just been having a lot fun smokin' up the pistol range with my Uberti when I can.

At least DLR has a sense of humor about what he does and he doesn't spout off a lot of ignorant redneck shit. At least DLR is somewhat likeable.

Nugent is just subhuman feces.

That's funny coming from someone that has his head stuck at the asshole licking off subhuman feces.

Pucker up, NL.

R6 #51,

Thanks for the ammochannel link.
It may come down to that. Here to fore I haven't (re)loaded my own. I'm not really looking for another hobby.

I'm just baffled that CCI continues to make available their handgun shotshells for a variety of rigs,
- .22 rimfire
- 9mm
- .45 Colt (the revolver cart. w/ protruding flange)

BUT !!

No .45 ACP

Yes, sort of. I was just using Roth to characterize the genre, I could have picked lots of
good musicians plying that trade too, like Paul Rogers or Robert Plant.
Roth is particularly clowny though, and Nugent was a goof.
Funny that preening masculinity marketed to boys was supposedly macho
sanctioned activity but the males who attract actual females (aka boy bands) guys characterize
as "gay" LMAO.

Anyway, Nugest is a fuckatard so I dont give a crap what he says. I didn't read it and I wont.
I block all these fucking losers who are Republicans. They are dumb as dirt and I won't waste a second on what
totally inferior people think or say. They should all die thereby automatically increasing the average intelligence of biological
life in the universe.

If you want to see inferior, look in the mirror and at Nomad. Two NL that combined don't have the IQ of a fucking monkey.

Guess ya got us there. Combined or individually, our IQ's are much, much, much higher than that.

But you and your entire redneck family can boast that you in fact, DO have the combined IQ of A fucking monkey.

Congratulations.

Peckerwood idiot.

?!
This lead post is a fount of abysmal ignorance, and feebly supported agenda.

a) Lethality in terminal ballistics is quantified in foot pounds of energy delivered to target.

b) I welcome anyone to quote anyone from the ostensible "terrified left" (the precise term used in the lead) asserting the AR-15 delivers more foot pounds to target than the most powerful shotgun, or perhaps more precisely, smooth-bore long gun.

c) The horrified left shares the conservative alarm at the carnage being perpetrated in our government schools.

d) The issue with the AR-15, the similar Bushmaster, and other high capacity assault STYLE carbines is NOT the foot pounds they deliver per round.

Instead it's the number of rounds it can deliver quickly.

And to prove my counterpoint I challenge Nugent or QT to a 60 second firing range contest.
The shotgunner can take take a shotgun like that depicted in the still graphic in the lead,
and I'll take an AR-15, and in a simultaneous 60 second firing match, I'll allow the shotgunner to fire as many times as s/he can.
And during those same 60 seconds, I'll fire the AR-15 as often as I can. Both gunners will be allowed to reload during the exhibition.

When the minute has fully elapsed, we can count the number of shots fired from each weapon.

And my wager:
In those 60 seconds I will with the AR-15 fire twice the number of rounds fired by the shotgun; and perhaps more than twice.

This topic is absurd.

Note:
My offer ONLY stands if the shotgunner covers all my expenses, including travel, hotel, meals, and all other costs.

In your hurry to appear knowledgeable, you missed the point about one shotgun shell of 00 buck sends 30 individual pellets down range; which is essentially 30 rounds.

Now that you have read an article written by a DR. you've become an expert on ballistics?

What was the average distance these killers were from their victims? 15 to 25 feet? Maybe a few feet more?
Have you ever patterned a shotgun? If so, what choke was used? What # shot was used?
What gauge shotgun (20, 16, 12, 10) and length of chamber (2 3/4, 3, 3 1/2)? What was the barrel length?

Granted, the AR will fire more rounds, but then go count the number of holes in the target and then tell me
which one can be more lethal. Oh, and don't forget, you'll need to better aim as the distance gets greater.

Now add in that an AR round will more then likely be a through and through and unless it hits a vital organ, you will probably survive; whereas a shotgun blast pretty much punches a really large hole in what ever it hits.

Now take one with no choke, distance, and maximum spread and you have multiple victims from one round.

I read an article written by a DR.?
What was the DR's area of expertise?
What was the title of the article?
What did I learn from it?

Vastly more to the point, I stated facts. Has anyone (including you) refuted any of them? Instead you attempt to switch the topic to the alleged author of what you imagine my reading material to be. Who do you think you're kidding?

That and much more can have relevance.
But none of it undermines, or even addresses my unrefuted point about rate of fire, and the diminishing utility of overkill.

The AR-15 is a lethal weapon.
So you and Nugent think a shotgun kills the victim even deader? This topic is bogus!
CERTAINLY a 12 ga. slug or sabot can deliver more foot pounds to target than a .223.

What I've refuted is:

That is just vacant blather from start to finish. And even if there was a semblance of validity to the underlying intended point, the argument/s in the lead are so conspicuously bogus that the entire lead post is invalidated.

Even if true, irrelevant to classroom massacres. A sociopath with 180 rounds marches into a public school classroom and starts mowing people down could miss most of his targets multiple times, and still kill everyone in the room. That would be substantially more difficult to accomplish with an 1187.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, so you READ an article.

WELL FUCK, THAT PRETTY MUCH SETTLES THE ARGUMENT; HUH!!
