Thank you Trump and Republicans for drawing a line in the sand

That's not what most polls say, and I guarantee that's not what polls will say in the next few days.

But think about this .. even if that poll is true, what does that say when a party celebrates and welcomes poll numbers in the low 40's?

i urge you to look at the progress of the polarization of the american electorate over the last 20 years. 40% is quickly becoming the new 50%.

secondly something you always seem to forget, obama was in the thirties a year out from his election in 2012. He still won. Approval ratings aren't a direct correlation to electoral strength. For example there could be some conservatives that "don't approve" of trump but when giving the option they still will vote him over the democratic candidate. Trumps floor seems mostly established at this point, and 2 years is still a long time in politics. You act like it's impossible for him to go back up. But if you actually look at his approval ratings over the last two years it's quite the seesaw.

Yep... says a lot about the quality of his base. Of course "outspoken" is a code word for foul and vulgar racist, braggart, bullying, moronic slime ball.

I learned that here too. Never imagined people could possibly this vulgar, all while complaining about vulgarity. Makes me wonder who came first

Very slippery, but what you say is exactly what the OP says to Republicans. You just point a finger at everybody who despises racism instead of the source of the hate.
In short you are a racist appeaser, and so reveal the color of your ass.
The OP is a race baiting arsehole that seriously believes that 9/11 was an inside job.

We all are entitled to our opinion. Calling him some choice names lowers your standards to that of ?evince. I joked around with that yesterday. Didn't impact the topic at all, didn't make me feel better either.

I know him far better than you.

Trump got the majority of the White vote. Do the math :palm:

Why the denial of the propaganda meme the libs have been selling for years and years and years?
Everyone knows the demographics of trump's base. He got all of the nazi vote too. Is there a point?

:hand: Thank you for the clarity.

Thank you for clarifying that the Trump presidency AND the Republican Party are all about white supremacy. Thank you for announcing that to the entire world.

Many of us on the Left have been telling the world that very same thing for years, but republicans have always denied it. Today, that confusion has been put to bed forever. It comes at a time when Trump's competency to be president, and his mental stability are in question.

Trump's blatantly racist comment is just another in a long line of his racist comments and actions. The difference this time is that his half denial is futile, and comes at a time when he's lost any mystic about who he is.

The silence of the Republican Party is deafening, with the only voices heard from them are the only two black representatives they have from the House and Senate. Tell us again about "what do we have to lose" and I'll tell you about what we have to gain by massing against you in the midterms along with every other sane, non-racist voter in this country.

His supporters and closet admirers no longer have any place to hide. The questions of Trump being a racist AND the Republican Party being the party of racists have been conclusively answered.

Battle lines drawn .. sane, responsible, and patriotic Americans on one side .. white supremacists on the other. The midterms will determine the winner.

From the moment Trump was elected I said he would be the best thing to happen for the progressive agenda in the country in a long time.

The ads almost write themselves.

Vote Democrat Party: We would never call a shit hole a shit hole.

Great platform

The polarization began the moment Obama became president and republicans determined that they would do everything possible to see that he would not serve a second term .. including spreading the lie that he wasn't an American. They failed.
Polarization comes naturally with politics, but what happened during the Obama years was far beyond natural. You cannot honestly say even to yourself that race .. that Obama is black .. didn't play a huge role in what was coming from the Right.

I beg to differ with you on polling and electoral expectations. Obama's poll numbers were at about 48-49% before the 2012 General election, about the same as Romney's. But we're talking midterms.

"On average, since the Truman Era, a president’s party loses more than 28 House seats in his first midterm election

But in the six times when that president’s job-approval rating was below 50 percent, his party lost an average of 43.5 House seats.

Special Elections So Far Point To A Democratic Wave In 2018

Democrats just keep winning Republican seats they shouldn't be winning

Irrespective of whether you like polls or think all news is fake, I have no doubt that you see what's coming.

Here's what's difficult for the Right to accept .. Trump is THE most unpopular president in modern history, and he's offended so many people that there is no way back to normal for him.

Trump is the gift that keeps on giving almost every single day .. and his base has nowhere else to go. They chained the future of the Republican Party to an obnoxious buffoon who was never fit to be president.

I appreciate the civil conversation .. we should do that more.

I like posts that give me hope. Do you think that this is why so many (R)s are declaring their retirements?

.Now the Dems are doing just that including spreading the lies.

and is getting worse by the day.
You cannot honestly say even to yourself that race .. that Obama is black .. didn't play a huge role in what was coming from the Right.
Of course it played a role. Tip of the hat for voting for the first (half) black guy. Of course insulting a man of color is a horrible offense, offending a white dude is cool.
Remember, color can be used as a shield. Clinton's gender shield didn't suffice. We discussed this before. Perhaps Dems get Oprah the nomination, and I am sure every strategy and manipulation will be employed to achieve that goal, and with that the gender/racial line will be clearly drawn.
Had we any respect for our fellow human beings, yes us and not at anyone else, we wouldn't need to throw in color or gender.
Why is it ever ok to insult people for they political lean, whom they voted for, their education level, their standard of living, the region they live in, their religious beliefs, the color of their skin or their gender?

Absolutely and without a doubt. They can smell the coffee and don't want to be swept out.

Republicans could lose 40 or more seats in the House and lose the Senate .. leaving Trump almost powerless until he's kicked out of office.

A Renaissance is coming to America.

bite a dead mules cock you racists asshole

you bathe in lies

that makes you stupid and evil

fuck you very much

What lie would that be? That Trump is the most unpopular president in modern times? You think Trump is unpopular because of lies? Really?

That's kinda' silly. First, Obama is black .. but feel free to claim half.

Second, Republicans and the Right insulted Obama and his entire family almost daily. Too bad that your side didn't get the results from their insults that they expected. Should have been smarter .. but you have NO standing to accuse democrats of anything without first looking in the mirror.

Remember, color can be used as a shield. Clinton's gender shield didn't suffice. We discussed this before. Perhaps Dems get Oprah the nomination, and I am sure every strategy and manipulation will be employed to achieve that goal, and with that the gender/racial line will be clearly drawn.

Just leave the gender/race issues to your side to solve, eh? How about no .. HELL NO. Your side is being crushed by these issues. Again, should have been smarter.

Had we any respect for our fellow human beings, yes us and not at anyone else, we wouldn't need to throw in color or gender.

We have an over 400 year record that clearly demonstrates that we have no such respect for our fellow human beings. It's called American history.

You seem to have no understanding of how rights are gained in this country .. but they ONLY come from DEMAND. SEE: American history.

Why is it ever ok to insult people for they political lean, whom they voted for, their education level, their standard of living, the region they live in, their religious beliefs, the color of their skin or their gender?

Why aren't you asking your side those questions?

I have no doubt that you've seen the racist schoolboy attacks on race and gender on this forum .. nearly ALL of which comes from your side.

I have no empathy whatsoever for the plight on the Right. Absolutely zero. None.

With all due respect, your blinders are showing.
