In 2026 it is a family in living room KIND Of watching a movie while scrolling through facebook with they're laptop on their laps while also texting people while also playing candyland on their phones and getting calls from 10 different people. IF you can even get a family in One room together that is. If you think this is NORMAL you ARE the problem. Most people now have an attention span of maybe 10 seconds. Gee,....what could possibly go wrong.

Back then they said the Television was the cause of our problems, there is always a bougyman.

Sometimes, MANY times in fact the simple most direct action is the best action to take. Case in point,..... Just a few years ago I had an incident where I was attacked. It shocked me,.....I haven't had anything like that happen in decades. Guy comes up to me, much younger than me but obviously also much dumber....LOL,...comes up to me, starts screaming in my face and acting the fool like a nut,.....I turn to my right while still somewhat keeping and eye on him and gaining some distance and bang,...he kicks my knee out. Didn't even really know the guy,...just some nut looking for trouble. What do I do ? I jump up and grab the guy right by the throat, head butt him in the nose,....pick him up and power slam him face first in to the floor,....jump down and get in the rear naked position and I choke him out. It was far and away the most humane thing to do to the nut. I could have easily just beat him down,....but that's not me. Instead I choked him out almost to the point where he would have nodded off , the bouncers came and drug his dumb ass out of the place and out the door he went into cuffs. Simple,...direct action cured the problem. A sledge hammer to a phone is the same.

For the record ,...even though we disagree on a lot of political issues I have always thought of you as a well meaning good and decent person. That has never wavered.

While screen time is a huge problem the biggest one, by far, is extreme gerrymandering.

Extreme gerrymandering gives all the power to the extremes of left and right requiring politicians to compete increasingly to the absolute worst elements of the extremes to get an edge on the other.

Without that and each district having a mix of left, right and independent the politicians have to appeal to more center left or right voters to win.
