That being said, respectfully, I have no interest in revisionist 'thought' on the horrors of slavery or reparations. None of that will matter.

America is coming to gripes with its disgusting racist past, as evidenced by the rejection of all things confederate, including its 'heroes.' The tide demonstrates that rejection will continue and intensify .. and as the nation continues to get browner .. the remedies of reparations will be determined by that society, not this one.

I suspect that reparations will come through grants and awards to higher education, and other benefits .. and there will be nothing that this society can do about it.

My Username "Reverend Hellh0und" is notorious on numerous forums, often when I join a new forum I have to deal with numerous clowns who I'd either ran off of another forum or beat them down so badly they have PTSD and start up with nonsensical garbage. I joined here with the B&T name trying to avoid that, when it immediatly started, I reverted to my known nomme de plume.

I grew up on the lower east side of NYC, and Newark, NJ to working poor Irish immigrants.. There were numerous programs to help my friends who were mostly minorities. When I graduated from highschool (40% graduation rate), I tried to join the NYPD, I scored in the top 1% but was told I was not black or a woman. There were all sorts of programs and benefits not available to me. Not that I cared or felt slighted, it was just the reality I lived in. I was impacted and it literally changed my life as I ended up joining the military.
