I swear if trump would just cut out that stupid tweeting and get a decent haircut and try to get in halfway decent shape he'd improve his image 100% and start to look presidential. But I don't think he will. You can't change Trump.

Sometimes, I do wish the media would pretend he is rational & intelligent, so people wouldn't be in knee-jerk defense mode for Trump.

I understand resentment for the media in general. Many people in the media are highly educated, and sometimes just their mannerisms & way of talking can be off-putting for "regular folks." Particularly the cable panels come across as pretty intellectual and even snobby at times.

So, I think a lot of people are automatically geared to be dismissive of anything they say about Trump, or at least go into "devil's advocate" mode.

I make up my own mind on Trump. There is plenty of direct observation to gauge him on, between his tweets & speeches. I don't see how anyone who filters everything out & evaluates him based on that same criteria can conclude that he is rational and measured.
