The Deplorable Blue Collars, truckers, farmers, smelly Walmarters & bitter clingers

If trump wanted to win, he would need 3 million more votes to win, and you would be one of those 3 million votes. he would target ads at you, and try to convince you.

Right now, your vote goes to him whether he convinces you or not. he is not going to waste money on trying to convince you.

Or put another way, Vermont and Texas are getting the same amount of Covid-19 supplies. They are very different populations, but Vermont is a possible battleground state, and Texas is certainly going to trump, so he does not care about them.

He would target ads at me if I lived in a large population center. If I lived in ND, MT, SD, or WY there would be few ads or campaigning done in my states.

My vote counts the same as everyone else in my state. If I am on the losing side my state's electors go to a candidate I did not support, but that is the same as every office that does not use the electoral college. My vote for governor, senator, or state legislature count the same as everyone else in my state but if my candidate loses by 51-49% the 49% won nothing.

Agreed, but you are naive to think government wouldn't be just as greedy.

Why would the government be greedy if the drug companies are no longer being run for profit?

I don't understand what you're saying or imagining. We are the government, the government is us. So what is the incentive for the government to "be greedy"? I don't understand what you're saying or how you're seeing this.

You are talking about a government that interferes in elections of other nations, assassinates foreign leaders, gives citizens LSD, allows them to die from syphilis, obstructs justice, and does research to the benefit of industry.

Flash, the government is also there to pick up after natural disasters, wars, and pandemics. LIKE THE PANDEMIC WE ARE EXPERIENCING RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT A ROBUST FEDERAL RESPONSIBILITY.

What we are living through right now is the endgame of your belief system, Flash. It's a country without a coherent and strong social safety net, that flounders in its underwhelming response, because you and people like you have spent the last 40 years with this self-fulfilling prophecy of "government is bad".

The reason we are all in this situation today is because you spent the last 40 years undermining government so much that it cannot possibly respond during a crisis.

That's not an indictment of the institution of government, it's an indictment of the shitty choices you've made that got us here.

Yes, I'm not defending drug companies. But nationalizing the drug business only puts all the greed in one place. Now the FDA rushes drugs to market to please the industry and produces research pretending the drugs are not harmful.

Like Chloroxinique?

Who is pushing that?

Not the FDA.

They spend a lot of money and prosecute a lot of fraud cases.

Well not enough, apparently.

So it seems like, to go after all this fraud, you need to have more funding to the agency that does that.

But you oppose doing that, in principle.

So how is your argument not masturbation? You complain about a problem that more funding of enforcement would solve, while also proudly screeching that you oppose increasing spending. So that's masturbation. You're a jerk-off, literally and figuratively.

But when there are over one billion Medicare transactions a year no amount of money can investigate all those cases. Investigations and enforcement do not prevent fraud, they just punish it afterward.

They deter it, Flash. Which is the point.

But they can't deter it unless they are adequately funded to do so.

BTW - private insurance spending is $1.2T ($500B of which is administrative costs) each year, and there's absolutely no fraud enforcement there.

So you have no conception of how much fraud truly exists, you only harp on the Medicare fraud because it's reported. But there's no reporting of private insurance fraud. There isn't even a mechanism to find out what that fraud is.

And since private insurance spending is higher than Medicare spending, even though it's mostly the same doctors since most of them accept both private insurance and Medicare, you have to assume that there's way more fraud in private insurance than Medicare. WAY MORE. We just never hear about it because the insurance companies aren't required to report it.

Unless, you are so naive and stupid to think that private companies never engage in fraud or are defrauded themselves.

I don't act in bad faith, you just can't read. Nowhere in that post does it suggest ending Medicare. It says we need to reduce waste and fraud. Read it again.

No you fucking moron, read what I was responding to...specifically the part where you say -in your own post:

There is no slack to pick up when you eliminate waste and fraud that goes to doctors, chiropractors, dentists, supply houses and criminals who are ripping off the public.

So doctors and such are private employees who you accuse of defrauding Medicare and ripping off the public.

What you said was that "The free market isn't responsible for the problems"; but then literally go on to list all the free market folks who are "getting" the "fraud".

So clearly, the free market is the problem since none of the people you mentioned had anything to do with the government, and are nearly all -ALL- private employees.

Since I think both sides are the same I obviously did not side with either. Your party is the one that supported the war along with the Republicans. Is that what you were "right" about?

Right, so once again you made a bad choice that you thought absolved you of guilt.

But by not taking a side during the Iraq War, you helped it happen.

So thanks for nothing.

Your party is the one that supported the war along with the Republicans.

No we didn't. A majority of Democrats voted against it in the House.

We also elected a guy who was vocal in his opposition to it in 2008.

And if the argument is that everyone should have known better than to trust what Bush and the GOP were telling them, then I would agree. In fact, it's precisely the reason why I don't trust any Republican today.

And your vote for Clinton was no more effective at preventing a Trump presidency than my vote for the Libertarian.

I guess we'll never know for sure because you chose to be a reckless jackass with your vote, along with millions of other reckless jackasses.

But by all means, convince me that your vote in 2016 wasn't a bad choice, because it doesn't really sound like you've convinced yourself it was.

So quit your self-righteous pretensions and accept that you are as guilty as the rest of us. What work did you do in the campaign, how much did you contribute, how many people did you call to remind them to vote. Drumpf won Georgia by 50.44%. What did you do to narrow that gap? Grow up and accept your loss--it has been three years. Accept responsibility and quit blaming others.

I voted for Clinton. That's what I did to prevent Trump. You couldn't even do the bare minimum. And the reason is because you're so lazy and you don't think you will bear the consequences of the choices you make in the voting booth.

So now, as you sit at your computer, quarantined to your home, was your choice and the choice of millions of people just like you worth it?

Remember that 26,000+ people have died in the last three weeks.

That is what people would be telling you now if Hillary won.

If Hillary won, we wouldn't be in this mess because she has experience dealing with pandemics and knows what to do.

She warned you that this would happen and you chose to ignore that warning.

Bad choices.

And you still seem too dense to understand my vote would not have changed the 800,000 Trump lead in my state. The two major parties offered us two losers to choose from. Only brainwashed party lemmings chose between those two.

What a fucking coward.

Flash, you know as well as I do that I don't have the ability to lay this on every single stupid Flash-like voter in your dumb state. They aren't here on this board. But you are, by choice. So because you're here, and because you made the same bad choice they did, you get to bear the shame.

You can always just say "I made a mistake and I'm sorry, I'll do better next time."

But that's a bridge too far for you. Humility isn't something sociopaths have.

Those benefiting from government funding are making a "profit." That includes department employees, contractors, consultants, and vendors. If I run a food stamp office and our volume of clients increases my office is upgraded and I get more employees and a higher salary because I supervise more people. My office gets a bigger budget. It is not in my interest or office employees to see that volume decline. That is greed.

You must be blind. There has been no decline in the social safety net--it has continued to increase under both parties. Now that safety net continues an additional $2 trillion (with more coming). Any reaction to the pandemic has nothing to do with lack of funds but lack of spending priorities and government's inability to handle major disasters.

That is stupid. Why should I apologize when I my vote would not have changed the outcome. You made a stupid choice also but I don't see you apologizing.

Also, you seem to overlook the important fact that the 800,000 voters who provided Trump's margin in my state may be very happy with their choice and prefer Trump to Clinton. Because you disagree does not make you right, only sanctimonious.

Like her wise choice on the invasion of Iraq or buying cattle futures?

If Clinton would have been too dumb to quarantine us we are especially glad we did not vote for her.

Right, so once again you made a bad choice that you thought absolved you of guilt.

But by not taking a side during the Iraq War, you helped it happen.

So thanks for nothing.

I took a strong position against the war. It is your side that thought it was a good idea led by your presidential choice.

Anyone who feels guilty about a vote has personal issues unrelated to politics. They use politics to express their anger.

No we didn't. A majority of Democrats voted against it in the House.

Coward. You forgot to mention a majority of Democrats voted for it in the Senate.

Those benefiting from government funding are making a "profit."

Which would be 131,000,000 Americans that have prescriptions.

And who is benefiting from government funding if the drug companies are nationalized? Drug executives wouldn't exist anymore. The companies wouldn't be publicly traded. So...who benefits? Who are "those"?

That includes department employees, contractors, consultants, and vendors.

So...the workers would benefit by getting paid for doing a job.

Aren't you the one who believes that labor is intrinsically linked to a person's value? You made that very argument last week.

f I run a food stamp office and our volume of clients increases my office is upgraded and I get more employees and a higher salary because I supervise more people.

Right...you get more responsibility, so you should be compensated because you have more responsibility.

What you're describing is called employment.

My office gets a bigger budget. It is not in my interest or office employees to see that volume decline. That is greed.

But let's talk about the volume, because the volume is already there. We're already spending this money. In fact, we're spending way more than we should because of private administrative costs that amount to at least $500B a year.

And also, it's greedy to provide people with prescription drugs their doctors prescribed? Huh?

Contrast that with actual greed that gave us the opioid crisis.

You must be blind. There has been no decline in the social safety net--it has continued to increase under both parties. Now that safety net continues an additional $2 trillion (with more coming). Any reaction to the pandemic has nothing to do with lack of funds but lack of spending priorities and government's inability to handle major disasters.

WOW.

Totally fucking clueless as to what's happening right now.

17M people lost their jobs and health care last week, and you have no idea what to do about that.

The unemployment system is a mess, thanks to no funding. People can't even reach unemployment officers to file claims. Why do you think that is? Because there wasn't a strong safety net. So now you have millions of people without a job or health care, in the middle of a pandemic, and your big idea is that we have to cut spending.

What a fucking moron.

When food bank lines are 5 miles long, when unemployed people can't even file for unemployment, that tells you that the social safety net is not strong.

You have a very "the fundamentals of our economy are strong" mindset that is completely, totally, 100% wrong. This crisis is laying bare the weakness of our social safety net.

Now that safety net continues an additional $2 trillion (with more coming).

And yet, it is still woefully inadequate, as we are seeing now because the institutions meant to protect us have been undermined by people like you.

Any reaction to the pandemic has nothing to do with lack of funds but lack of spending priorities and government's inability to handle major disasters.

Government as an institution is more than capable of handling major disasters. We know because we lived through 8 years of it during Obama. it was only when the people who thought like you did got to power that the institution failed. That's because of you, not because government exists.

Government is only as good as the people we elect to it. You don't seem to think so, which is why you threw your vote away in an act of cowardice, laziness, and selfishness.

No you fucking moron, read what I was responding to...specifically the part where you say -in your own post:
So clearly, the free market is the problem since none of the people you mentioned had anything to do with the government, and are nearly all -ALL- private employees.

You idiot. You think private doctors, dentists, chiropractors, supply houses and others using the Medicare system are free market operators? They must follow the rules and regulations of the law and take advantage of stupid government regulations.

If government will pay vendors 3-4 times the price VA pays for bandages you will find vendors who will charge it. They may not even be real vendors but just PO Boxes that provide no products but get the check and move before it can be verified. That is not the free market. It would take bids and verify the vendor before doing business with them.

That is stupid. Why should I apologize when I my vote would not have changed the outcome. You made a stupid choice also but I don't see you apologizing.

FLash, OMFG, it's not just you, it's you and millions who think like you. They aren't on JPP, but you are. So because you are, you get to bear all the burden that they should also be bearing. That's how responsibility works. If there were 800,001 Flashes in your state who chose to throw their vote away, then you all bear the same responsibility, not just the 1 person over 800000.

You're not one to accept responsibility for anything and that's because you've never been forced to. But now, as a pandemic sweeps across the country, you are being called to the mat for your recklessness. And since you're the only one on JPP from your state who chose poorly, you get to be the punching bag in place of the 800,000 people in your dumb state that I can't reach because they're not on JPP.

I say the same thing to you that I've said to other people who threw their votes away in 2016, so I'm not singling you out. You're just here and they aren't. So you get to be the punching bag. If that level of responsibility scares or offends you, too fucking bad. You made the choices you made, with the information given to you. That's why you're to blame. I'd say the same thing to everyone who did just like you did, only I can't reach them. But I can reach you because you're here, by choice.

Also, you seem to overlook the important fact that the 800,000 voters who provided Drumpf's margin in my state may be very happy with their choice and prefer Drumpf to Clinton. Because you disagree does not make you right, only sanctimonious.

Anyone who thinks sitting at home for more than a month as the economy crumbles, as 17M lose their jobs and health care, as 26,000+ die, and as millions of victims are locked in their homes with their abusers, is happy, then they're either fucked up in the head, or they are lying to themselves.

So which one are you? Are you fucked up in the head, or are you lying to yourself? Because by voting 3P, you helped to hand the election to Trump, who you were warned about countless times. But because you're a narcissist, you never took those warnings seriously.

Well, now that the Left has been proven right AGAIN, are you going to change your thinking and accept responsibility for being reckless? L-O-Fucking-L.
