You seem to be confused about what you actually have to do for those things. 50% of US citizens don't have a passport.
For a new job, you don't have to show a passport. It seems you have never had to fill out an I9 or had someone fill it out for you. The new employee has to state under oath that they are a citizen but there is no requirement to show a birth certificate. While the new employee can present a passport as a document it is not required.
When you register to vote you have to under oath state you are legally allowed to vote and are a US citizen but no birth certificate is required.
How many American are licensed professionals?

This is about proving citizenship. Stating you are a US citizen is all that is required for an I9. You don't have to prove it by providing a birth certificate.

Contractors don't have to provide a birth certificate to get their contractors license. How are you so ignorant that you think the have to? I doubt architects and doctors do either.
They may ask for your birth certificate but they only require proof of age if it isn't established already in their records. They accept many things other than a birth certificate.

It only requires a drivers license and a social security card when filled out by the employer. Non-citizens can have social security numbers so there is no proof of citizenship given to the employer.
Your claim that you have to prove citizenship to get a job is bullshit. You only have to sign an affidavit you are a citizen the same way you have to currently sign an affidavit when registering to vote.
It is interesting that SSA tells me I don't need a passport or a birth certificate to apply for SS. I wasn't required to provide them when I applied. And yet here you are making a claim that is directly contradicted by the official application process and claiming you know more. You CAN use a birth certificate or passport but you are NOT required to do so.

Wow. I see you have decided to build a straw man so you could declare victory over it. This is about requiring proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. The SAVE act won't accept driver's licenses as proof of citizenship. You must provide a passport or birth certificate. The current way is we accept people are honest when they sign an affidavit.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me that you should provide proof of citizenship. You only have to register once. If voting is such an important civic duty, I see no undue burden in you providing a passport or birth certificate, and even other ID as required to do this very infrequent, but important task.
We should not be accepting your word for it as the basis. The affidavit is a legal fig leaf. Again, how many people have been prosecuted for lying about their citizenship after registering to vote in say, the last 10 years?
At some point I can see the Left / Democrats trying to register them to vote only suspending that until they come of age, like California does with 16- and 17-year-olds right now when they get a driver's license.

If we ask for proof of your age, you must show us a birth certificate or religious record showing your age that was made before you were age 5 if one was established. This is our preferred proof of age.
If a public or religious record was not made before you were age 5, you must show us at least two other documents you may have that prove your age, such as a:

- school record,
- State census record,
- vaccination record,
- insurance policy,
- hospital admission record, etc.

Therein lies the problem. You can not have a poll tax under the US Constitution. Until Congress provides a path that costs no one any money it is unconstitutional to make someone pay to get their birth certificate in order to vote.
Almost 200 million people voted in the last 10 years. How many non-citizens actually voted and were prosecuted? One? Heritage only counts 77 non-citizens voting from 1999-2003. More Republicans committed voter fraud than non-citizens.
You do realize that 17 year olds can register to vote in every state, don't you? If a person is turning 18 on Nov 1 and the election is Nov 2 and registration is required 2 weeks prior to the election, the 17 year old could not be prevented from registering without violating federal law.
