The Republican War on Science Continues

I stand corrected, and I probably could have used a better choice of words, because the term Orthodox does not neccessarily mean backwards or uneducated. The Eastern Orthodox Church I am familiar with is a testament to this.

yes and conservative isn't the political definition

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

I hope whoever we get on our ticket, they hammer the (R)s about the environmental insanity 45 has promoted.

It simply has to happen.

We are out of time.

I don't know if they thought this would just go away or what. We can't BS around anymore. It simply has to happen. We must have clean energy.

I think that's a given.

No one has been more motivational for the Democratic party than Trump.

That's a problem for the right. There are a lot of progressives who normally don't pay much attention until you do something really radical right.

THEN you get their attention.

Look out, Trump.

You've got attention.

You may not want it, but you've got attention, alright.

You wanted to be the center of attention, you got it.

Starting tomorrow in the US House of Representatives, in public hearings.

Enjoy!

No, modern orthodox and conservative judaism are the majority of Jews in the united states and we stress education and knowledge , thus high high viability in medicine sciences and the law , in addition It was also due to Jews being kept out of other pursuits

Agree. My point, especially given that the sampling was only 837 Jews, is that none of those ultra religious were contacted for this poll.

In '14, there were about 1.9 million Hasidics in the U.S.. There are thousands more now, albeit not of age to declare education level.

Many in my family are/were lawyers/doctors. Upper level education was a given, with no option to fail at same.

None of which negates the fact that polls are inherently flawed. The sampling for Christians was almost 7 times that of Jews.

Until the war on science by the right is stopped, they will be disregarded by suburban college educated. Their trade
is the adoration of the ignorant bible losers. I don't know how the numbers break out on that tradeoff but I do know one thing,

we are right and they are sick wrong and they make shit stupid policy because of it. If Jesus was alive he'd cry. He was in agreement with the atheists
and moderates and he knows the fake Christians using his name blaspheme every time they invoke his name.

My guess it Jesus was not a stupid fucking loser moron and he would have embraced science, would that he were alive in this day and age.

After that unpleasantness during the Inquisition, even the Catholics decided that they could be friends with science. I'm not really sure why things like modern technology, vaccines, printed books, and so on are so threatening to our fundie friends on the right.

As far as the OP goes, dismantling clean water/air protections are going to affect those the most who can't afford to move away from polluted areas. Guess which voters those will most likely be?

GOP: Shooting itself in the foot since 1854.

Marin County (other side of the GG Bridge, North of SF) is about as wealthy, white, educated and politically liberal an area as you'll find in this country. Yet there is a huge anti-vaccine movement there. If being anti-vaccine is an ignorant fundamental right wing position why would so many wealthy, educated and liberal folks have the same position?

Edit: Looks like it's not just Marin.

""According to the new study, very high numbers of NMEs were reported in “progressive” cities like Seattle, Wash.; Austin, Texas; and Portland, Ore.,""

People are idiots despite political leaning.

This just kills me. People in third world countries would do anything to prevent their kids from getting illnesses that could be prevented by vaccines, while some people here are taking several steps backwards in regards to them. Some still believe the debunked theory that vaccines lead to autism. Jenny McCarthy comes to mind.
