The Weaponization of the EPA Is Over: An Exclusive Interview With Scott Pruitt

Another h.s. debate team captain with an unsuccessful point. When will you learn that around here if you don't have a valid argument you pull the racism card?

Industry will pollute their grandmother’s back yard for the sake of profit. I can give you examples til the cows come home, but with your head up your ass, you’ll never notice.

What the fuck are you talking about with the racism thing? Are you drunk already this morning?

Now WTF did WOTUS have to do with interpreting even simple pollution standards? Nothing. It was a power grab.

When you grow up, you’ll realize that everything in the environment is connected. You throw shit into point A, it can show up at point Z. You want assholes dumping shit into tributaries upstream from your grandkids? Great. I don’t.

If they ever make emoting an Olympic sport then Thingy is your man!

"Emoting."

While you're hung up calculating the current efficiencies of wind turbines, have you read or seen anything about disappearing habitat? The oceanic food supply? Growing scarcity of clean water? Toxic chemicals in our air & the food we eat? Did you know that the average apple has over 47 chemical compounds that are toxic to humans?

It doesn't take a math expert to understand that we've done most of this damage in roughly a century. I'd love to see your theory about how sustainable these practices are over the long term.

that was not what WOTUS could accomplish only..
the states traditional have control over intrastate waters - WOTUS changes that

Classic empire building, more jobs for the boys, and girls!! If Domer pissed himself and made a puddle on the ground the EPA would have fined him!

Good. Then do away with congress, the courts, the presidency and let the EPA rule over everything since it's all connected.

I know that. The EPA has not stopped this law. That is why I was wondering why you brought it up.

Remember the algae bloom in Florida? Florida REFUSED to follow the EPA guidelines and then asked Obama to pay for the clean up.

Trump simply isn't very bright nor is he interested.

Algae blooms happen everywhere. I kind of recall Florida. I was just asking about the Freon.

Freeon recovery began with high speed distillation under pressure... It a technology with 3 revenue streams that saves industry billions. What did you want to know?

Florida's algae bloom was particularly nasty and bad for tourism.

Here's the way it works, sweetheart. Waterways don't give a flying shit about state boundaries.

An ephemeral ditch on private property is not a waterway and it has nothing to do with the environment. Calling something as innocuous as an ephemeral ditch a waterway to be regulated under federal jurisdiction is nothing more than a power play by the federal gubmint. At least admit that's what you really want which has zero to do with the environment.

Has nothing to do with the environment? What kind of ignorant halfwit are you?

You really know NOTHING about the leaching characteristics or persistence of agricultural and industrial chemicals, do you?

One of the worst things about this is that "the environment" as an issue has become ideological. It SHOULD be an issue we can unite behind; basic protections and maintaining clean air, soil & water are in all of our best interest, as is developing a real plan for sustainability.

Instead, after years of guys like Limbaugh railing against "enviro wackos" and the politicization of the AGW debate, anything pro-environment is now seen as a "left wing" issue. I see so many conservatives who seem to oppose even basic, common sense measures in such a knee-jerk way, simply because they see it as a value held by the "other side."

Very unfortunate. The warning signs are all around us, but we're going to keep our head in the sand until it can't really be denied anymore.
