It was never ratified. That's why I didn't call it a "treaty". I called it an "agreement".

I didn't question his authority. I acknowledged Trump's lack of sound judgement.
We might excuse Trump one excess, as Trump is clearly OJT.
But Trump has done this often enough to have with less than half his term complete, established a pattern of making the U.S. look like an unreliable international partner.
With a pattern like this, breaking multiple agreements, why should other nations bother engaging U.S. in diplomatic negotiations, if we don't adhere to the agreements we make?

I'm not playing that game with you.
When a signatory to a treaty performs an act or acts believed by another signatory to violate the terms of that treaty, that does NOT mean that treaty no longer exists. So you're wrong, again.

Your denial is premature.
"The shot heard 'round the world" is often cited as the event that precipitated WWI.
BUT !!
WWI didn't start until after the echos from that "shot heard 'round the world" died down a little.
In any case, the nuclear missile treaty Trump has unilaterally abandoned was widely regarded by experts as a stabilizing influence in our world awash with weapons.
Just because nuclear war hasn't broken out yet doesn't mean Trump's unilateral action hasn't harmed the United States.
Even if nuclear war never results from this, it doesn't mean such fickle leadership style doesn't do serious harm to U.S. international / diplomatic authority, leadership, and power.
Rah Rah Rah for "drain the swamp".
The problem is, if this is Trump's style of "drain the swamp" it's doing more harm than good. Substantially so. And the sanity check on that is the U.S. has become the world's laughing stock. The laughter at President Trump by the U.N. general assembly during Trump's boasting about his administration interrupted Trump's speech. Were it not for "the button" this administration should be considered a farce.
