agree 100%.These midterms were NOT a pro vote endorsement of the Democratic Party. It was a ANTI vote refuting MAGA and Trump.
Trump demanded he be seen as in the ballot. He got his wish. Trump and MAGA were on the ballot. They lost convincingly. The electorate voted for change. If the Democrats want to keep these gains they better be the change the electorate voted for.
Even though Trump will veto everything they must keep pushing Legislation that people see and like and think 'we want that so we must give the Dems the POTUS in 2028'.
Yes. As i say just above.Nothing will change in the next two years. Gridlock remains until Dems take the White House. But they will have to be very vocal about why nothing gets done.
Ya they need to focus on the courts which is arguably the biggest issue but it is not the one that will get them the WH in 2028. Ending Trumps war and Tariffs, or showing they are using every tool to do so, is something real and substantive they can actually do and voters will see that and remember that. The House will attempt to ram through any funding they can during the lame duck, so that trump can reappropriate the money to his Gestapo.
I do disagree about the biggest power. I believe full control over court appointments was the much bigger issue.
If Trump makes it a game of whack of mole and just keeps abusing other authorities to keep them both going voters will see that and realize change must also come at the top in 2028.
