I live here. It's in our local papers every few days.
Case in point. I live in Orange County. We have strict laws on food safety and county health does inspections of everything from fine dining to lunch trucks. Imagine my surprise as illegals with push carts comb residential neighborhoods selling helados and fruit. No license, no health sticker.
So I signed up for my two minutes at the monthly Yorba Linda city council meeting and asked if we have health and safety laws? "Why yes, very strict ones" was the answer. So then, I asked, why do illegals push unlicensed carts around with no sort of health inspections, spread who knows what pathogens? The oh so conservative council was silent, then muttered "we can't be everywhere."
After the council meeting one of the council members approached me, and she told me that the county expressly forbids Yorba Linda police and city enforcement for "interfering with migrants in any way."
So yes, I do have personal knowledge that illegals are indeed above the law in even the most conservative country in California.

I've been in two accidents with them. In one it was a hit and run. Two out of three kids, my brother, wife, most of the people I know, have been in a traffic accident with an illegal. If it was serious, they flee the state. I read and hear about crimes they commit regularly on the news here.
I don't have to experience that stuff firsthand to know its happening.
A good number come here to mule drugs, participate in gangs, and do things like steal vehicles to take back into Mexico. One of my kids has had two 4 x 4 vehicles stolen that ended up in Mexico. One was later recovered in the desert when it broke down after being used to mule drugs back into the US.
If you're in an HOA, that's your fault. If your HOA is using illegals, they're idiots. The major poultry producers here don't use illegals, they may hire Mexicans on day passes or work visas, but not illegals.

I also think it is a mistake that ultimately hurts this forum that @Damocles allows this along with empty posting. Sure ok, it looks like the forum has most users and more posts but these type of things genuinely drive away a lot of real people users who would otherwise engage in debate and make the forum grow.
