This trial goes one of two ways...

I am proud of Democrats in the House and Senate for standing up and putting this case on, but it is falling on deaf ears.
The jury is bought and paid for in numbers to ensure Trump is not removed. This is treason.

You seem to forget the power of the people. You place way too much weight on privileged positions such as Senators and Presidents that say one thing to their constituents then abandon them and work against them from that point moving forward.

That is why unpopular presidents should never be allowed to win. DOnald Trump's presidency is the best example of why we should be using the popular vote to select them in the first place.
