It's a movie, it is propaganda definitionally. People need to be scared out of their seats to support climate science and green technology. The show featured worst case scenarios based on actual science. If LSU has a 1% chance of beating NC State. That doesn't mean if it happens the scientists were wrong. If the movie gets a lot of people to care it's done a good job. It is not a substitute for climate science. I did skip over your fill in the blank question, because I'm not here to do your homework and there is no question as to Anthr Climate Change.

My California lifted Dodge Ram V8 is used about 4K per year. House is not an energy hog. So Cal climate allows for indoor outdoor living. Not that much need for AC or heater compared to most places. Much more important is to vote in ways that support R&D into clean green technology, education spending, cap and trade regimes to incentivise rational state and corporate actors to be more green. That means being a Democrat or voting for them.

Rocumentaries aren't going to beat out blockbusters. But it will linger, people may see it on Netflix. A worthy endeavor.

There's no question as to the hypothesis. Problem is that it hasn't even reached the scientific level of theory.
Scientific studies have to be repeatable for a hypothesis to become a theory and they aren't even close to that.
I can make mathematical models of how the stock market has behaved and make predictions from that, some people do. But they're not repeatable or predictable.
