Real estate generates income for the corp that owns it. Real estate developers seldom draw a salary. Income taxes are too high, why would you do that ?
Yeah, and that generally triggers an audit. If you're running a corporation and you don't take a sufficient salary, the IRS won't simply let you collect unlimited distributions (at the lower pass-through rate) without a salary.

The issue here isn't that Trump is broke or that he spends way too much on his hair like a pretty boy. The issue is that he's millions of dollars in debt to foreigners, which is a conflict of interest. Not that this is anything new. We already knew that Trump had a conflict of interest due to his businesses in Russia.
