Yes, the effort to suggest that Trump hasn't responded to this virus in a competent manner is the HOAX. I think you are beginning to understand the truth.

January 11: The CDC issued a Level I travel health notice for Wuhan, China
First case discovered in the US on January 14th.
January 20: Dr Fauci announces the National Institutes of Health is already working on the development of a vaccine for the coronavirus
January 31: The Trump Administration:
1. Declared the coronavirus a public health emergency.
2. Announced Chinese travel restrictions
3. Suspended entry into the United States for foreign nationals who pose a risk of transmitting the coronavirus.
February 24: The Trump Administration sent a letter to Congress requesting at least $2.5 billion to help combat the spread of the coronavirus
February 29: The Trump Administration:
. Announced a level 4 travel advisory to areas of Italy and South Korea
. Barred all travel to Iran
. Barred the entry of foreign citizens who visited Iran in the last 14 days

Are you even aware of what is going on? I live in a beach community in the Florida panhandle. We directed everyone to not have more than 10 in a group per the CDC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well the college kids completely ignored that directive and we had to close the beaches! We so far we have had 1 case and that was a tourist who had it when he checked in exposing a number of locals who are now in quarantine! Miami and surrounding area has over half the cases in the state and they kept their beaches open. So sport complying with the experts advice is paying off!
So if you think I am promoting panic then think again. This this is dangerous and you had better believe it before you or a loved one in infected. So if you want to play fucking machoman and ignore the experts then be ready to pay the price. GET IT?
Then go out and yell at the college kids, instead of pandering to Fowl's partisan politically-motivated pandemic panic on JPP.

I get what you're saying man. We can't beat it when others are off doing these things (the spring break partying you mentioned). On this board and to political partisans everything is about Trump and the November election and Coronavirus can only be viewed through that lens. (And from a non-partisan perspective there have been excellent articles written about at what point will the economic effects have a greater negative effect than shutting down the country. But that's a different debate.)
But you're not wrong that people need to follow the social distancing.
I believe it's a pandemic, EE, because it is.
I also believe that the DEMOCRAT-infested media is promulgating partisan politically-motivated pandemic panic, and you have supinely swallowed their liberal line like Mayor Pete swallows semen.

69 days into this we're not even remotely close to those figures. In China, if they are to be believed, the numbers have stabilized at 81,093 cases and 3,270 deaths.
