He didn’t have them for the longest time, but they’ve returned in the last five years and he’s not sure what’s triggered them. The mind is a curious thing.

Does he have a veteran's group to meet with? Preferably sans alcohol...although a beer doesn't hurt.

My brother, one tour Iraq, two Afghanistan, has some PTSD issues and tends to spend too much time drinking at the VFW. He's getting a handle on it but it's a challenge.

No, and he has refused to go. He’s a man who thinks he can work through things himself. He doesn’t see a problem, he’s not the one getting kicked and punched ;)

Does he have any vet friends of similar age and background? If so, they would probably be happy to help.

Another alternative is to call an appropriate veteran's group and see what they recommend or can offer.
