Not a good try, little sailor. If your argument still is that U.S. involvement in the war didn't start until Johnson, that is incorrect. Under Kennedy many thousands of U.S. troops were committed to South Vietnam, ostensibly in an "advisory capacity" (which itself is involvement) but in fact many became engaged in hostilities that resulted in many hundreds of casualties. The main absurdity of your original comment, however, which you decided not to repeat, is the assertion that Nixon's historical contribution was his ending of the war. Do you think there should be statues of him for that?

Advisory roles are not combat troops dunce. And JFK was trying to get us out before he was assassinated. And I can see you completely ignored the Gulf of Tonkin incident that LBJ used to bring us fully into Vietnam. You can try and act like you have knowledge on this. The fact is you do not. At all. Go find something you are really good at like a gay pride parade or something.
