Despite Tink sharing her vast legal knowledge and trying to tell me i was wrong and that Jack Smith would not ask for or get a Washington trial date before Florida as Tink thinks you cannot do that with another trial already set, i explained to her that Trump hid lawyers screwed up. Something Tim Parlatore, Trumps prior lawyer (and best IMO) said as well.
Tim echoed what i said, that if Trump had taken the Dec date Jack asked for or maybe got agreement on January, and then as the date came close, simply went to the judge for an extension it would have almost certainly blocked any other trials sneaking into the gap. Tim Parlatore said he thought they made a mistake as he said it is very normal to extend a case like this out 2 years or more simply with motion after motion asking for extensions, which Aileen Cannon could have granted.
Jack is estimating a 4-6 weeks for the Prosecution to present and rest. Trumps defense should take a week or less since Trump won't take the stand (please... please... let him take the stand... if there is a god, please)
I predict that the Trump team will ask for a date post the 2024 election (again) and the judge will come back with a March date and that will be locked in stone.

And Chutkan has said prison can be a powerful deterrent against the threat of another insurrection.”

You can see how expertly the Judge has set up Trump, to be the cause of his own expedited and speedy trial, thus creating 'order' and 'case' history, should Trump team try to launch an appeal based on not having enough time to properly prepare for the case. the 'history' will be documented to show, Trump by simple non-adherence to the rules was the cause of the increased expediting of the trial, and thus his complaints about it after the fact ring hollow. Much like how Trump saying Jury pools are tainted and he cannot get a fair trial due to all the publicity being shot down by the fact he is the one generating most of the publicity deliberately..

Ahahahaahaha Trump and his derp legal team are now realizing they fucked up in thinking that they could take advantage of Judge Cannon's lawlessness and get her to set a far out trial date, which now has opened the door to other cases jumping in to the gap.
SOmething i mentioned in this forum as soon as Aileen set her date, and then days later Tim Parlatore (Trumps former lawyer, pushed out) also said he saw as a mistake by Trumps new legal team, whi he thought were probably being pushed by Trump to ask for the latest possible date.
Tim Parlatore said he would have taken the earlier date (January) but then just brought regular motions to ask for extensions as that date approached. He said it is normal to extend big cases like that out over 2 years by just bringing one motion after another that need to be separately heard by a judge.
But instead Trump's derp team pushed it far enough back that other Trials can jump in to the gap.
So Trump is crying to Aileen Cannon to save him by arguing the dates being looked at in Washington potentially conflict with a 'hearing' Cannon has set.
It will be hilarious to see Trump team now need to try and argue they want to hold the Florida date and not see it be pushed back when originally they asked Aileen for no date at all, or at least not before 2025 and after the election as all Jack Smith has to say to Cannon, if asked is 'your honor, we are fine with bringing a motion to push this case back if it becomes necessitated, since the defendant already did not want it this early'.
