The problem is that Trump is wrong about our elections. He said, months before his first election, that the only way he could lose was if the election was rigged against him. Up til then, Americans knew our elections were extremely honest and accurate. He threw doubt into them and compounded his felony with constant repetition about corrupt elections. His lies have actually made people doubt our elections.
When he started lying about the elections, I figured a few were dumb enough to buy that lie. I overestimated the right.

The issue has NEVER BEEN "election security" and taking actions to make people "better trust our elections" as dupes like @Damocles and others here have been fooled into believing.
The ISSUE is Dem's being able to win elections.
There is nothing, and i mean NOTHING, that Dems could support that would make the Trump and Magat confidence better as long as Dem's can still win, and they would continue and escalate the call for more and MORE changes, crying "...but our confidence..." until they got those changes and Dems could not win.
Then and then only would Trump and the magats say 'we have confidence now'.
You do not address dishonest and irrational fears with capitulation and rational actions. That IS NOT how you fix dishonest and irrationality. You instead address the dishonesty and irrationality with facts and educate people.
