I disagree. trump may not be a virulent Klan member but he's definitely made some iffy comments since the campaign, and according to others he was more openly racist before he ran for office. We can go all the way back to when he and his dad refused to rent their apartments to blacks to find evidence of his racism. Per Michael Cohen:

"In an interview with Vanity Fair, Cohen claims that, before he became president, Trump repeatedly made racist remarks in his presence. Specifically, Cohen recalls the following incidents:

• In the late 2000s, while they were driving through an impoverished Chicago neighborhood en route to the Trump International Hotel, Donald turned to him and said, “Only the blacks could live like this.”

• When Nelson Mandela died, Trump challenged Cohen to “name one country run by a black person that’s not a shithole,” then dared him to “name one city.”

• Once, when discussing the various winners of past seasons of The Apprentice, Trump explained that, in season one, he decided not to pick finalist Kwame Jackson because “there’s no way I can let this black f-g win.”

• In 2016, after Cohen told Trump that he’d watched his rally on TV — and thought that the crowd had “looked vanilla” — the presidential candidate replied, “That’s because black people are too stupid to vote for me.”

I haven't forgotten trump's "shithole" smear and his comment that we should have more people from places like Norway. His only concern about borders is the southern border.

If you think Chuck Schumer [and a host of other politicians] doesn’t use colorful terms like shit hole—when speaking in private, you’re simply naive. For what ever reason, shit hole countries are predominantly run by non-whites. That’s just an unfortunate fact. That said, whites have run their fair share of shit holes. By no means do non-whites have the market cornered on shit hole-ism.

Racism enters the picture when one claims it’s *because* of race.

Your problem is the metric you are using: if Trump is a racist for using shit holes, then Obama is racist for branding white folks as myself as ‘bitter clingers’. Hillary? She a racist. We all know her ‘deplorable’ comment was a dog whistle for poor white people.

Let’s go on: practically all of the race-obsessed JPP lefties are racist. [At times I think lefties are trying to outdo one another to see who can be the most ironic] Don’t believe me? Listen to them as they go on about the ‘browning’ of America as if THEY CANNOT WAIT until whites are in a minority.

Not only is that racist—it’s the insidious kind of racism because it’s a step removed ‘taking action’ to ‘hurry things along’. But since they’re lefties, they’re hardly ever called out on it.

I saw in the clip where Chuckie and Pelosi said they would compromise on ‘border security’ to keep from shutting down the government. But Trump stood his ground and said [to the effect] he wouldn’t sign any bill without a border security provision.

Clearly, they are talking about two different things. The Pelosi/Schumer version of ‘border security’ is what got us to this place. For decades, both sides have made promises on border security—yet here we are fending off caravans of Hondurans at our southern border. Let me reiterate: it’s NOT just a democrat thing—both sides are culpable in it.

And Trump comes along and wants to build a damn wall lol.

Democrats should get behind Trump on the wall. Think about it: once the wall is built the immigration issue is off the table and democrats won’t have to worry about how to ‘not talk about it’ and/or resort to the same old empty promises on border security—that people are starting to see through.

A big reason Trump won the WH is because he was actually serious about border security. Here is the chance for democrats to take the issue from him. Fund the wall and make it a dead issue.

In any case, the reason Donald Trump wants the wall...IS NOT FOR SECURITY...it is because he promised his stooges he would get it built and he wants to produce on at least one thing he promised those poor dupes.

He is tangling ass with people like Pelosi and Schumer who can blow him out of the water, because besides being a fucking moron...Trump is totally unprepared for what goes on in political negotiations.

His days of having stooges in congress kiss his ass publicly are over.

The next two years may actually be fun.

I've been there also, Kudzu, and lived for two nights in a hotel on the Via della Conciliazione...woke in the morning and strolled down the avenue to St. Peter's...and walked right in.

Back in the 1950's one could do that. With the world situation as it is now...there are metal detector stations...but NO FUCKING WALL barring entrance.
