That's not the question. The question was do you think Presidential candidates would campaign differently if the winner was determined by the popular vote rather than the EC?

Sure they would, but that would also mean to get elected those candidates would have to appeal to the more urban area voter, meaning the right wing entities would be less of a factor

Our system of elections gave us John Quincy Adams over Andrew Jackson in 1824. Situations like that make it all the worthwhile keeping.

Sure.....just get a 75% super majority ratification vote from all the states and BINGO.....you can amend the US CONSTITUTION. ;) And it actually "sounds like"....the left can't get over getting their ass handed to them by a reality TV star/property developer by a LARGE electoral college margin Trump 306 Black Bitch Queen 332 or Trump 304 Black Bitch Queen 227 counting the "faithless" voters who refused to cast their votes. I personally found it very amusing when the left attempted to bully the EC voters into becoming faithless Trump voters and in the end the DEMS had more faithless voters than the Republicans.

Do you know what winning the popular vote gets you in the presidential election......along with about 3 bucks you can get a cup of coffee at a Starbucks....if you don't hang out to long with the wrong color skin.

In reality it appears the illegal Mexifornia votes went for naught.

Interesting that you bring up more people voted against Trump than for him. The same applies to Hillary unless you're claiming her 48% of the total popular vote is more than half.

Zero chance of this happening.

Republicans, like their hero Vladimir Putin, have a palpable disdain for democracy -- and like their Kremlin mentors have and will use every means at their disposal to subvert democracy and thwart the will of the people. That includes the archaic and undemocratic electoral college, gerrymandering, voter suppression, and more.

I agree.. I don't think Trump should change it.. although he did rant and rave against the Electoral College in 2012.
