it was placed there out of concerns about slavery states

How is that a lie? The entire US Constitution would have to be changed and voted on, and that is never going to happen. The only way our system changes is if we are defeated in war.

dude....the electoral college was put in place because the small NON-slave states like Connecticut and Vermont, were afraid of the big slave states like Virginia and Georgia.......

It requires a 2/rds vote in house and senate. then 3/4rs of the states would have to ratify it. There is a process called a constitutional amendment to abolish the college. No we do not have to throw out the entire constitution.

The Electoral College, despite what he thinks, favors the Republicans significantly.

I can tell you that he would get a hell of a lot more Democratic Party congressional votes in favor of that...then Republican Party votes.

I'm saying that I know that but that, the end of the Electoral College, will never ever happen so long as there are 13 states that like the system we have. And that is highly likely.

I am not saying we would have to throw out our entire Constitution. I am saying the only way our system changes is if we lose a war and our Constitution goes by-by.

Since each State has the sole choice how it divides its EV, each State could already do that. In fact, Maine and Nebraska have. In 2016, Maine's two Congressional district were split, one for Trump and one for Hillary, with the two representing the Senators going to Hillary as the overall statewide winner.

Good luck amending the Constitution and getting the 3/4 of the states who would be left out of mattering in who won the presidency on your side to get the thing changed.
