Yup.

The damage to America and The West, will take decades to overcome.

Even if Trump died tomorrow, the US allies know that the magat base is still there filled with hate and willing to find and elect another leader to do another campaign of destruction.

That means all the US allies are looking to decouple from US exposure and risk in many areas :

- reducing the military arms they get from the US, in case a future crazy Trump uses that as leverage to deny them more or parts...
- reducing over all trade with US and instead trading more with each other and CHina, etc
- reducing using US dollar as reserve currency which then makes US debt more expensive year over year

Even if the next US Potus is very trusted by everyone, they will still be weary of the magat base until those old angry racists/xenophobes mostly die off.

He says that while setting them up for success and to have more power than they ever dared dream they would have.

Prior the threat of 'US power' was enough to keep Iran jumping through hoops and unable to get to any goal where they were a true threat to much of anyone.

Almost all other ME countries went All-In on big Brother USA being enough of a threat to keep the regional peaceful enough.

Now Iran and other wannabe opposition countries in the region KNOW they can absolutely hold a vice over the world as long as they can stop oil flow.

The rest of the ME is now scrambling to 'avoid using the Strait in the future' while ignoring what Ukraine is teaching Russia. That drone technology is increasing at a rapid rate (shut up @T. A. Gardner with your garbage that it has not really improved since WW2) such that Ukraine is now easily destroying major targets, such as refineries deep, deep, in Russian territory, something they could not do, at the start of the war.

That mean ANY METHOD the rest of the ME takes to avoid the Strait WILL NOT stop Iran or future adversary countries in the ME from targeting the supply routes, pipelines and production facilities.

We are now going to see much smaller nations almost entirely focus their more meager military budget on mass drone production and be able to threaten and disrupt much bigger opponent nations.

It is going to take the next President at least their first term in office just trying to clean up Trumps mess and they won't get to what they want to do until their second term IF they get one.
I wouldn't want to be them.

Yup, and if that next POTUS is a Dem, that is when these magats suddenly will become super critical on every decision made on how to end and get out of Trumps war, acting as if there was a better, easier and cleaner path. And as the US economy struggles again under the impact of that war, they will blame the Dem Potus even as he brings the economy back to success, as they point at how tough things were during that rehab time.

It is why i have said prior Magat Potus and Congress actually want to create messes as they know both good programs and bad ones, tend to hit hardest or best in the following 4-8 years then they do when implemented. They always want a Dem admin cleaning up the economic mess for their entire term and then they get to inherit an economy on the upswing as the Dem fix it. Just as Trump did taking it both from Obama and Biden on big upswings.

The demand Iran is making for the Strait management and fees will be transformational to their future. It will give them a much needed second revenue stream and one that comes with almost no cost (no refining) and provides much more money than oil revenues ever did.





And when Trump just quits, takes his ball and goes home, even if Iran emerges with no conditions on its nuke program and this massive new source of revenue, by taxing the rest of the world thru this transit, we will still see the magat idiots like @Matt Dillon touting how great Trump was and how this is a win for America.
