Yaya clearly doesn't know what a troll is. Trolling isn't presenting gathered information that a person gets bent out of shape over, and mentioning you thought this would happen. A troll will present info without a lick of verification, or very sketchy sources. They will use it to rag on people to get a rise out of them, because they're bored, and don't know how to normally socialize. They also use push button slander of issues, like race, gender, religion, nationality, or side of the aisle. If your declaration bugs them that much, it's them that has the issue, and needs to tame some butthurt pride.

Not exactly. He's basically telling the truth, just not what you expect. There are several types of obnoxious people on line. Trolls, punks, bullies, whiners, and snarks. He was closest to a snark.

He's telling the truth? What truth? First, it's not "an Andrew Jackson monument", so, right off the bat the title of the thread is a lie. Second, the tree is being removed because it's dangerous, that's all. There's no political motivation behind it at all. katzgar is a classic troll. I've known him for some time, not just here.

As I said it's a play on the truth. It's true, but it's a tree, not a statue. The current administration is having it removed, and he never said there was political motivation. As I said there are many types, and if you go by this example alone, he's a snark. I don't know enough to make a real guess. Trolls are different, because they are a combination of all the others, and they have no reasoning. GBA, is a classic one. If you want to call Katgar a troll just for this, than most could be considered trolls. I will change my assessment when I read more from him, and it merits it. I don't see enough, because the forum is scattered with troll conversations.
