Trump says animals that land on solar panels fry because those black panels are hotter than your stove

He's so dumb and likes to make things up, like he's on the down low about exclusive knowledge. Even if solar panels got close to as hot as a stove, they would simply burn the occasional animal slightly. I haven't looked it up, but I will confidently say they don't get near that hot anyway. The real question is why Trump thinks animals would fry from quickly contacting something hot anyway. Is he so dumb that the idea of quickly removing a body part from something hot doesn't occur to him? That his hand would fry if he touched a stove?

It's well known that the surface of a solar panel is as hot as the surface of the sun. It's so hot that it is just glowing black.

If they got that hot they would fry the electronics.

They are black. They likely get as hot as black asphalt. Although probably not because they turn some of that absorbed light into electricity instead of heat.

Exaggeration. He is obviously conflating the Ivanpah "Bird cooker" concentrated solar array with PV arrays. PV arrays do contribute to urban heat island effects, but they don't generate enough heat to cook anything. You might be able to fry an egg on one on a hot day, but that's about it.

This is just more nut picking by Trump's detractors.
