I had a First Class FCC Phone license for years. It has a different name now. I have an Extra Class Amateur Radio license which at the time I took the test, required proficiency at 20 words per minute Morse Code.

I had to answer FCC rules and regulations questions to get those licenses.

Don’t mess with the FCC or one of their Field Engineers will visit you.

But TBH, regardless whether you love the president or hate him, when a US president speaks at the UN it's news, right?

And the best reason for a station NOT covering the speech directly is so that they can say what they want about it, to control the false narrative.

It's like when you Google "EJ Caroll's book excerpt about Trump" now, suddenly they can't find the full excerpt anymore. It's nowhere. All you can find is something from Vox or the Atlantic that tells the first part of the story, up until they get to the door of the changeroom, and then they finish the story with "... and he raped her".

Somehow they all reduce her direct quote:

But TBH, it was 100% correct to say that his philosophy is diametrically opposed to your own socialist beliefs.

Did you ever hear the story about the girl who came home for the holidays, from college, all full of socialist principles, and then (heavily abridged version) her dad asked her if she'd be willing to accept a lower grade than what she earned, so that the portion of her marks "above passing" could be shared with students who were too busy partying to get decent grades?

If you can see how that's unfair to her, then you should also be able to understand how it's not fair for high achievers to receive average achiever rewards just to help the underachievers get average rewards as well. In the end, that system leads to everyone being less than average.


Anyhoo: DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT CNN DESERVES "ACTUAL PRESS CREDENTIALS"? Do you think that they are legitimate? Do you think that they have the integrity required for that role?

In a grown-up world, does CNN belong at the kiddie table?
