Michigan ranks in most of those lists......the good news is, all of those problems are in Wayne County.......or the UP where Owl lives.....did you know the biggest industry in the UP is selling beer and pasties to hunters?......

MI is and few other blue states are outliers, which are always found the in rankings for any category

if you have the balls lips look at the other 95% that are failing badly

I'm surprised that Michigan is included, but then I remembered that other than the governor, Lansing is infested with Republiqans. No doubt the population density and poverty in our largest cities (Detroit, Grand Rapids, Saginaw) has a lot to do with the craptastic statistics for this state, too.

Actually it's not -- it's mining and logging. But your obsession with me is noted and appreciated. Miigwech!

Our poverty rate up here is nothing to brag about, for sure. Some of that is driven by the poverty on the various reservations. Outside of logging and mining and health care, there are not many good-paying jobs here.

how are they failing.....covid deaths are really very low compared to what happened in blue states.....just look at the deaths per million rate.......no one will ever catch up to NJ or NY.....
 
Michigan is my favorite flyover state. I can remember it because it's not just a square filled with crop circles.

btw my family lived in Saginaw for 5 years when I was 7-12 yrs old....brrrrr!

I'm sure you're correct about the major cities affecting their rankings, especially Detroit, a city that's been ravaged by the auto industry's semi-collapse (or whatever you'd like to call it). Otherwise MI is no different that OH or IN or PA
