Not close. How the people live and their constant bombardment of propaganda declaring Kim is god and must be obeyed is much worse than what happened to one person. The starvation of people and the gulags are so horrible.
I was watching the Kim meeting with Trump on TV. One of the women speaking was from NK. She was shocked to hear Kim speak. It was like god talking. Yet she is here and telling about Kims kingdom and the evil it does. The training still was there. She has been Americanized and living and working here as a translator and explainer of things NK.
