And even then he set records for bankruptcy filings.

That is not even close to adequate preparation for being leader of the free world. His life experience is better preparation for selling used cars, than it is to contend with hardened congressional leaders, and ruthless North Korean communist dictators.

Sadly the fact is that once Trump caved and allowed the government to reopen the fat lady sung loud and clear. His only option is now a national emergency which most republicans council him against. If he chooses to go that route regardless, he will be tied up for years in the courts.

He was voted into the presidency on a platform that included a wall/barrier/fence. Mexico will eventually end up paying one way or another. I frankly can't see why a toll shouldn't be levied on border crossings. There are around 350 million border crossings over year, so even $5 per person would bring over $1 billion per year.

Right. And the migrant workers so necessary to pick the crops for shit wages can just apply to banks and credit unions for money to pay the tolls so they can work for peanuts.

I am sure that special arrangements could be made for holders of H-2A visas. Come to that why can't the farmers provide accommodation rather than the poor bastards having to wait up to an hour each way and then driving, maybe four or five hours, before even starting work?
