Distribution? Don't you think they've already contacted trucking companies? Do you know how cold a diesel run reefer can get? So safe and effective transportation is covered. Hasn't distribution been discussed already? Who's first?
Yes, who's first has been discussed in the media as well as in various govt. departments. Whether any decisions have been made though is unclear. I assume that you are over 60 since you're retired; will you get it as soon as available, or wait? My personal thoughts for myself is to wait and let younger people who need to go to work and be out among others all day get first crack at it. And all those essential workers like truckers, grocery store people, utility company employees, food processing and packing plant employees, etc. -- let them go ahead first too. I'm okay with waiting a while longer. What do you think?
Ra-men. That's why Biden has appointed a team of experts to run the show, people with actual degrees, experience, and expertise in the field. Even so, the roll-out needs to be coordinated at the national level so that all states and territories receive what is needed as quickly as possible. No more playing favorites with blue states vs red states like #COVID45 tried to do.
As with most things pandemic related the states are in charge. Re distribution the firms the make the vaccines are in charge, with Federal government oversight....that is fine, more bureaucracy such that Harris/Biden will add wont improve anything.

Now that Pfizer has cut 2020 production in half some of the pressure is off, the ramp up will be slower than expected. The co2 shortage might turn out to be a big problem, the vaccine distribution will get all they need but the rest of the users might end up with a major shortage....no one knows yet. Between that and the can shortage that will get worse up till about April and then take the rest of the year to go away I am stocking up on soda and beer.
The military is quite capable of doing that.

Cuomo was being his usual ass self and said he wont use the "Trump vaccine" unless his state officials approved it.
Trump called him on it and said he's not going to send the vaccine if Cuomo sits on it -
and said Cuomo then has to request it.

Vaccines are being handed out by the number of old people a state has, which sounds right, because they are the ones who tend to die of this. I saw some complaining that it it was not done on the basis of number of medical workers but the argument got nowhere with me. As for the charge that Trump tried to make this red/blue I know nothing about that, I would need to see evidence.
