No a determined shooter would only use another weapon like semiauto shotgun. I hunt with ARs and also with semiauto shotguns. Hardening school targets is the only option. Shooters pick schools because they are soft targets. We need to provide armed police in every school. We need to build schools with an interior playground courtyard that has windows that face it the windows that don't face the the courtyard should be at least 7 feet off the ground every door should have a functioning camera and be controlled by the office.
