Trump's support from Catholics and evangelicals is dropping.

I'd need a specific example. Don't know what you're talking about.

Of course you do.

1. Trying to force public schools to teach Creationism and/or Intelligent Design in science classes.

2. Teacher-led prayer in schools -- they want it.

3. Christian symbols in public places like court houses and city halls -- for instance, nativity scenes and the 10 Commandments

4. Interference between a pregnant woman and her physician -- they want to ban abortion, therapeutic or otherwise

5. Desire to force taxpayers to pay for their kids' tuition at private religious schools (vouchers).

6. "As late as 1950, a proposal was introduced in the Senate that would have added language to the Constitution that "devoutly recognizes the Authority and Law of Jesus Christ, Saviour and Ruler of nations, through whom are bestowed the blessings of liberty." This amendment was never voted out of committee. Efforts to revive it in the early 1960s were unsuccessful." (source: https://www.au.org/resources/publications/is-america-a-christian-nation )

I'll expect your defensive prattle will commence shortly. lol

She doesn't know either...just trying to stir up strife and pick fights.
I don't think she realizes that most all our laws have always been based on the 10 commandments. Most civilized countries are. (murder, theft, lying, etc.)
The strange thing is that rarely do believers come in here and start threads about religion or interject it into posts. The libs start them with cartoons,
stories about false teachers, mocking & ridiculing, etc. Then out of nowhere in any given political post THEY are the ones who toss out nasty comments
while bringing religion into the conversation just for their own amusement, having nothing to do with the thread. They're obsessed with religion. And,
they'll keep pushing and goading you on to pry a response out of you. Gotta just let it go.

Your one-dimensional "thinking" makes you believe that the 10 commandments are unique to western religions. They are not. Almost all civilized nations -- even those on the other side of the world where Xtianity was unknown for millennia -- have the same proscriptions against murder, theft, etc.

What you call "nasty" is merely ppl taking issue with your deep desire to force the rest of humanity to follow the path you are on. We are not "obsessed with religion" in the slightest. We merely wish the freedom to live in a country where everyone has a choice whether to believe in a god or gods, or not. You fundies, on the other hand, find that terrifying. We've all see the posts here from so-called "Christians" who tell us that atheists, Muslims, etc. have no morals or ethics because they don't believe in your version of a god. For every one of you nutcases on this forum, there are a 100 walking around in real life.

You are anathema to freedom. You are an abomination to our Constitution and would gladly destroy it in favor of your god. We won't let you, and that's what your real beef is, right Sister Stench?

Bravo, bravo!

Thanks.

Stench and her persecution complex...

To be fair though she's not the only fundie who thinks that not being able to force her beliefs on the rest of the nation is exactly the same as being tossed to the lions in the arena.

He won't consider it, but I would dearly love to see President Biden promote and sign a law forcing every church -- whether Xtian, Muslim, Satanic, whatever -- to pay taxes if they stick their noses into secular business. Particularly if they insist on promoting one politician over another to their parishioners, organizing political rallies, etc.

I agree, it’s time. I’ve never understood why they weren’t taxed in the first place.

Separation of church and state doctrine.

I'm okay with Xtian parents sending their kids to Xtian private schools, paid for with vouchers from we the people. But -- in exchange, your churches will be taxed as businesses, and your ministers' salaries will be taxable as well.

He's entitled to free speech, as are we all. There are numerous posters here who use the n-word and post vile b.s. about POC -- but I haven't seen *you* call them out. Remove the log from thine own eye. By your "logic," above, that makes you a racist too.

As Poirot would say: précisément.

If not obsessed, then don't bother talking about it. Western, eastern, who cares. The ideals behind the basic laws are similar. I'm not not even talking about "religion" here.
Our country was founded on such ideals and also freedom to express our faith. No one is barred from incorporating these ideals into our personal lives and business lives
whether you're a plumber, tattoo artist, musician or politician. And if one does not want to, then don't and quit trying boss everyone else around. If Pelosi wants wants to announce
how "prayerfully Catholic" she is all the time, so what? Go live your own life not doing that. We have freedom of choice.

Exactly;)

Joe Biden is a Devout Catholic, is he not? He carries a rosary...goes to Mass each week...Do liberals question and go after his faith? I look forward to anyone trying to go after Amy's;)

Thanks.

Don't even know your own country's history. It's the other way around. Government needs to keep their snoots out of the church (synagogue, mosque, etc.)
Plugs & Pelosi loudly & proudly advertise their Catholic faith, so don't get your hopes up. Private schools run by various religious groups are among the best in
the nation and generally provide well-disciplined calm order and classrooms focused on real education, not a sjw pc atmosphere. They take care of their own.
Get a life.

That's what we want, but not what we get unless we continually fight for it -- because you fundies feel compelled to insert your own beliefs into public life. Go believe in your gods, go to your churches, live your lives, teach your kids whatever crap you want to -- but don't expect the rest of us to agree to follow your path. The only reason you have the freedom to believe in whatever it is you believe in and practice is because this nation was founded upon secular concepts of liberty. You can't seem to understand that w/o the safeguards in the Constitution against people like you, you most likely would find that persecution you long for.

We left to get away from the Church of England which FORCED citizens to belong to a "government" established national church.
Here "there will be no establishment of religion". Get over it.
Go live your life. Go worship birds and trees. We don't care. People can choose here.

Nope, sad cunt. We only "go after" the faux Xtians like your Mango-tinted Messiah, and the various other frauds here like you, PiMP, Stench, etc. It will be fun to watch the evangelicals "go after" Biden for being Catholic, while remaining silent about Ms. Barrett's faith.
