He's not really the President's physician; he just does the annual checkup and pronounces them fit -- or details any problems found. If Obama had been found to have, for example, lung cancer, he would have gotten treatment elsewhere.
The revelations about the drugs/drinking though do make us wonder about the Trump "excellent health" report. Generally people in "excellent health" are not prescribed Crestor, which is not the first statin in the anti-cholesterol arsenal. It's usually prescribed for people for whom lesser statins, diet and exercise have failed and/or people who have had a stroke or coronary event.

I believe he got in way over his head when he lost everything on casinos and, after US banks would no longer loan to him, he borrowed millions from people who have connections to the Russian mafia. They have had their hooks in him every since. He never intended to win the presidency, only ran for the publicity because name recognition is his most profitable asset.
He has a lifetime of making promises he could never keep. Just ask all the workers who did fine work for him but never got paid. Ask the students of Trump University. He is in way over his head with top level US politicians. A lot of those people are far smarter than Trump. His political career will probably end just as spectacularly as it began. Then the political pendulum will swing back to the left and Trump will be bygone history.
