I know you have not asserted them.

You keep asserting a point you and i agree makes no real sense and yet you keep asserting it.

That begs the question why? When there is a much better alternative 'motivation',, one you clearly refuse to even acknowledge even in passing.

If a person states an argument and question just 'fails the logic test' (you and i agree) ... then why do they keep pushing it and asking why the person (Tucker) is doing it when there is another option that is much more viable?

I will leave that to others to now answer as i have put forward what i think is the clear motivation.

I'm a Republican, I didn't vote for Trump and I would never watch Tucker Carlson. Who are these people who are now going to start watching him?
Is it liberals? Is Tucker going to be the new Liz Cheney and tour the country with the Democratic nominee? Is he the new Lincoln Project and a bunch of liberals are now sending him money?

You said originally he was just following the money. But what that really entails based on what you just said is he is hoping that people who never watched him before and don't share his views on many things, are now going to start watching him in large numbers?

He's following the money. He's trying to attract new followers. I see no evidence he is succeeding but that's what he's trying to do.
